Product Data Specialist

About the role

Support the maintenance and configuration of the Kohler Product Information Management system. This role is crucial for facilitating the launch and discontinuation of products across various marketing channels, both online and offline. Additionally, the role involves providing support for the operation and maintenance of Kohler's official websites and e - commerce stores. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring the smooth display of product information on these platforms, monitoring and optimizing website performance to enhance user experience, and collaborating with web development and E-COM teams to resolve any technical glitches or data - related issues that may arise during the operation of these platforms.

Furthermore, the role requires conducting in - depth data analysis. This encompasses analyzing product - related data from the PIM system, website analytics tools, and e - commerce platforms. By leveraging data query systems and tools like PowerBI, SQL, and Microsoft Access, the Product Data Specialist will identify trends in product performance, customer behavior, and market demands. For example, analyzing which products are generating the most traffic on the website, which stores have the highest conversion rates, and how product launches or discontinuations impact sales figures. The insights gained from this analysis will be used to optimize product data presentation, inform marketing strategies, and drive business growth.

What you'll be doing

• Ensure strict adherence to product data governance.
• Enhance existing product information data to improve its quality and comprehensiveness.
• Develop automated reports tailored for marketing teams. These reports should cover aspects such as product performance, launches, and discontinuations. Additionally, interpret existing reports to provide valuable insights for marketing decision - making.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Kohler product info systems, stay updated with the latest features of these systems and be proficient in basic troubleshooting, leveraging knowledge from training and self - learning.
• Comprehend inbound and outbound channels and their impact on PIM data. This understanding is essential for maintaining data integrity and ensuring its relevance across different platforms.
• Collaborate with all related partners to establish connections with new outbound and inbound connectors, based on evolving business needs.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve data - related issues promptly and effectively.
• Identify areas for system improvement based on business requirements and usage patterns and communicate these findings to the relevant teams.
• Undertake other miscellaneous data entry and validation tasks as and when required.
• Work closely with Digital Merchants, Merchandising Marketing Analysts, and engineering teams. Ensure the collection of complete and accurate product data information, which is vital for seamless marketing and product management.
• Develop and maintain appropriate documentation to support data management processes and system operations.

What we're looking for

• A diploma or graduate degree in any discipline years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Experience in Digital Marketing or Systems is an advantage. This background can provide a better understanding of the marketing context and technical requirements related to product data management.
• Experience with Product Information Management Systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with such systems ensures a smooth transition into the role and efficient handling of data management tasks.
• Experience in luxury or global brands is preferred. Understanding the unique requirements and challenges of these industries can enhance the ability to manage product data effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. This role requires working closely with cross-functional teams, both locally and globally.
• Advanced English proficiency is a must, considering the global nature of the role and the need to communicate with international teams.
