Job Summary:

A Assistant Retail Operations Manager in a cannabis retail store, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the store and ensuring compliance with regulations while delivering exceptional customer service. You will lead and develop a team, manage inventory, and drive sales. Your leadership skills, cannabis industry knowledge, and business acumen will contribute to the success of the store.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Store Operations & Standards


• Supervise and support daily operations across multiple outlets.


• Ensure consistent implementation of brand standards in product display, cleanliness, ambiance, and customer service.


• Conduct regular store audits to assess visual merchandising, compliance, and staff performance.


• Oversee stock levels, deliveries, and product rotations to maintain availability and freshness.

  1. Sales & Marketing Activities


• Actively monitor and analyze store sales to identify growth opportunities.


• Execute local marketing and promotional activities to drive foot traffic and boost sales.


• Support in organizing in-store events, influencer collaborations, and seasonal campaigns.


• Work with the marketing team to ensure consistent branding and communication across all outlets.

  1. Team Leadership & Training


• Motivate and guide store teams to achieve monthly sales targets.


• Conduct regular training on product knowledge, customer service, and compliance with cannabis regulations.


• Support hiring, onboarding, and scheduling of store staff.

  1. Customer Experience


• Maintain a customer-first culture and resolve any service issues promptly.


• Ensure consistent delivery of the Kana Pure "lounge experience" — relaxed, welcoming, and knowledgeable.


• Gather customer feedback and communicate insights to management.

  1. Reporting & Coordination


• Prepare weekly sales summaries, footfall reports, and store feedback.


• Coordinate with procurement, marketing, and HR for store support.


• Assist Retail Operations Manager with outlet performance reviews and new store openings.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in retail operations management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of staff.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, customers, and vendors in both Thai and English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Able to frequently travel.
