General Trade Sales Section Manager

Responsibilities :
1. Sales & Distribution Management
- Manage sales and distribution in assigned markets in Thailand and SEA to achieve volume, value, and market growth targets.
- Work closely with distributors to drive market development, product distribution, and promotional execution
- Guide Route-to-Market (RTM) strategies across General Trade Channel
2. Strategic Planning & Market Development
- Joint business planning with distributor/customers—volume & distribution & channel strategy.
- Develop and align annual sales & marketing plans with promotional calendar and trade spending budget.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and prepare reports and forecasts for senior management.
- Identify new growth opportunities through market research, visits, and competitive analysis.
- Track competitor pricing, promotions, and market presence to inform in-market strategies
3. Distributor & Customer Management
- Monitor distributor performance: sell-in/sell-out, inventory, forecast accuracy, promotion execution and other KPIs.
- Conduct regular business reviews and maintain healthy communication flow between distributors and internal stakeholders.
- Act as key point of contact for service improvement and issue resolution.
- Build strong relationships with distributor key account stakeholders.
4. Budget & Business Performance Monitoring
- Own and manage trade spending budget and ensure ROI delivery.
- Track monthly performance and adjust plans in response to market changes.
- Monitor competitive landscape—pricing, promotions, and channel activity.
5. Internal Coordination & Team Supervision
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Conducting on-the-job coaching; initiating and implementing sales force.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor/ Master Degree in any related field. Prefer business degree.
- Proven track record of success in sales force management and territory management in General Trade, strong in both strategic planning, field operation and people management skills.
- Result oriented, self-driven, focus on high quality and operation excellence.
- Strong communication and negotiation skill.
- General Trade network, regional knowledge.
- Analytical and strategic thinking.
- Strong business acumen and numbers-driven.
- Leadership and coaching skill.
- Experienced with diverse accounts/ formats. Distributor management experience is good to have.
- Strong commercial sense, convincing, communication, and negotiation skill.
- Leadership skills & Great communication skills
- Accountability and high ownership
