Senior Engineer, IT

Job summary:

• The Senior IT Engineer is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the company's IT operations. This role manages IT infrastructure, network systems, cybersecurity, end-user support, and IT asset administration. The Senior IT Engineer also leads technical initiatives, supports digital transformation, and ensure all IT systems operate smoothly to meet business needs.
• This position handles complex incidents, leads small-to-medium IT projects, provides expert guidance to junior engineers, and works closely with global IT teams. The Senior IT Engineer plays a key role in strengthening the company's technology environment and ensuring alignment with corporate IT standards.

Responsibilities:

IT Operations & End-User Support

• Provide advanced technical support for IT office equipment (printers, telephones) and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Resolve escalated hardware, operating system, and software-related incidents with root-cause analysis and preventive measures.
• Manage user accounts, AD permissions, email configuration, anti-spam systems, MFA, Exchange Online, and password policies.
• Collaborate with users to ensure stable daily operations and continuously improve service quality.

Network & Infrastructure Management

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches, wireless systems, VPN, and firewall solutions.
• Monitor system and network performance to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal capacity.
• Conduct regular network assessments and implement improvements to reduce risks and enhance overall performance.
• Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and external partners for infrastructure support and maintenance.

IT Asset & System Administration

• Lead the administration and lifecycle management of IT assets, including procurement, inventory, allocation, replacement, and disposal.
• Administer servers, backup systems, Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint), Azure AD, and collaboration platforms.
• Ensure backup, restoration, and disaster recovery procedures are properly implemented and periodically tested.

IT Projects & Technology Improvements

• Lead or participate in IT projects such as infrastructure upgrades, cloud integration, system improvements, and security enhancements.
• Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, automate workflows, and adopt new technologies to increase operational efficiency.
• Ensure IT documentation, SOPs, guidelines, and policies are updated, accurate, and aligned with corporate standards.

Teamwork & Leadership

• Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to junior IT staff.
• Collaborate with global IT teams to support corporate initiatives and technology standardization.
• Support internal and external audits, compliance tasks, and IT reporting activities as required.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in IT operations, IT infrastructure, network management, or system administration.
• Strong troubleshooting expertise across hardware, software, networks, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, networking devices, VPN, and security tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; able to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
• Ability to work independently under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and take full ownership of assignments.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous learning and improvement.
• Good command of English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Experience working with ITIL frameworks (Incident, Problem, Change, Asset Management).
• Strong preference for candidates with experience working in manufacturing environments.
