Chief Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team at Thai-Japanese Amata Co., Ltd. in Chonburi, Chonburi. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for overseeing the engineering operations and ensuring the efficient and effective management of our engineering department.

What you'll be doing

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the engineering team to achieve the company's operational and business goals
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects to meet the needs of the business
• Manage the engineering budget, resources, and personnel to ensure optimal performance and productivity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address engineering-related challenges and opportunities
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and regulations
• Monitor and report on the performance of the engineering department, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team and other stakeholders as needed
• Mentor and develop the engineering team to build their skills and support their career growth

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• At least 8 years of experience in a senior engineering management role, preferably in the hospitality or Hotel industrial sector
• Strong technical expertise and understanding of engineering principles, practices, and technologies
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with relevant engineering regulations and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in using engineering software and tools
