Job purpose:

To develop flavour concepts in innovative applications while ensuring product quality, food safety, and market trends; assist the application manager in supporting and training technologists in the lab; participate in sensory training activities and sensory analysis in APAC; ensure lab cleanliness and lab equipment maintenance & calibration; and ensure project productivity and a sustainable lab working system.

Job duties and responsibilities:

To develop flavour concepts in innovative applications while ensuring product quality, food safety & market trend

  • Specialize in bakery and chocolate applications.
  • Prepare applications for customer, tradeshow & proactive projects.
  • Apply and select flavors in the different applications according to customer's request.
  • Formulate new and innovative applications recipes.
  • Communicate with salespeople to finalize the project and make sure that the results are according to the customer's demands.
  • Efficiently manage short-term, middle-term & long-term projects, which are interesting according to market demand & trend.
  • Be an active member of the Essentially Creativore Group & APAC sensory panel.

To assist an application manager in supporting and training technologists in the lab

  • Give some technical supports to other technologists as requested.
  • Support other technologists during the rush hour period of projects.
  • Assist an application manager for training new technologists or interns to be accustomed to lab processes.
  • Be a representative of an application manager when the manager is away from the lab.

To participate in sensory training activities and sensory analysis in APAC

  • Be a panel expert.
  • Participate in sensory analysis & sensory activities within APAC as requested.
  • Facilitate the production of demo kits for sensory projects as requested.

To ensure lab cleanliness and lab equipment maintenance & calibration

  • Make an equipment checklist & plan a cleaning schedule in the lab.
  • Organize a routine check of the lab cleanliness.
  • Check that all lab equipment is calibrated and well-maintenance.

To ensure project productivity & sustainable lab working system

  • Make sure the effective lead-time of short-term, middle-term & long-term projects.
  • Assist in the creation of sustainable lab project management system.
  • Assist in the creation of lab communication system.
  • Assist in the creation of new flavour promotion system.

Qualifications needed:

  • Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Food Technology, Product Development, Chemistry, Science & Flavour Related Fields
  • Minimum of 3 - 6 Year Working Experience
  • Good Interpersonal Skills
  • Curious, Creative, Well-organized and Well-discipline
  • Well-adapted in Multi-national Environment
  • Chocolate, Beverage & Bakery Enthusiast
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft, Excel, etc.)
  • Statistical Analysis Skills

Employment conditions:

  • Working Location: Prova Bangkok Office, Silom
  • Working Hours: 08:30 AM - 05:30 PM
  • Working Days: 5 days a week (Monday to Friday)
