Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & People Development

  • Lead and mentor engineers specializing in machine controllers, automation programming, and industrial software.

  • Build team expertise in PLCs, motion control, robotics controllers, embedded systems, SCADA, and IIoT platforms.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, standardization, and knowledge sharing.

  • Machine Controller & Software Engineering

  • Develop, implement, and optimize machine control algorithms, automation logic, and system architectures.

  • Standardize PLC/HMI/SCADA/robotics controller libraries and modular code blocks.
  • Ensure integration of machine control software with mechanical, electrical, and IT/OT systems.

  • Standardization & Compliance

  • Establish global standards and documentation for machine controller software engineering.

  • Ensure compliance with international functional safety standards (IEC 61508, ISO and cybersecurity frameworks (IEC
  • Define version control, testing, and validation procedures for machine control software.

  • Innovation & Development

  • Research and implement new control technologies such as real-time control systems, AI/ML-based predictive control, and digital twins.

  • Drive initiatives in adaptive control, remote diagnostics, cloud integration, and energy-optimized control strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT, R&D, and external vendors to co-develop new machine controller platforms.

  • Project & Lifecycle Management

  • Manage engineering projects involving control system development, upgrades, and lifecycle management.

  • Oversee commissioning, FAT/SAT, and software validation for automation machines.
  • Ensure continuous lifecycle support and upgrades for controllers and machine software.

  • Financial & Service Management

  • Develop and manage section budgets (CAPEX and OPEX).

  • Deliver cost savings through software reuse, controller standardization, and efficient troubleshooting.
  • Define and monitor service-level agreements (SLAs) for shared control system support.

  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Collaborate with production, automation, maintenance, and digital transformation teams.

  • Manage relationships with controller/software vendors, integrators, and OEMs.
  • Represent the company in automation, control engineering, and software standardization forums.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Software Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or Computer Science
  • 5-7 years in automation / machine control software engineering with 4-5 years in leaderships roles.
  • PLC/SCADA vendor certifications (Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff)
  • Function Safety Certification (TUV)
  • Cybersecurity Certification for Industrial Control Systems (ISA/IEC 62443)
  • Project Management (PMP/PRINCE2).
  • Fluent in English (spoken & written).
  • Willing to travel across domestic and international sites.
