Senior Construction Project Manager

Our client is a fast-growing Data Center developer and operator with footprints across Asia and Europe, seeking for a Data Center Senior Construction manager to join their dynamic team. He/ She will be responsible for leading their Data Center project delivery from design through commissioning and handover. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of DC life cycle + local permitting process and proven track record in delivering greenscale DC projects in Thailand.

Responsibilities

Strategic Project Leadership & Delivery

· Own the overall project lifecycle, providing strategic direction for planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery.

· Develop, manage, and control comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

· Ensure strict adherence to all project objectives, KPIs, and contractual obligations with clients, landlords, authorities, and vendors.

· Lead procurement strategy, contract administration, and robust vendor performance management.

Executive Stakeholder & Client Management

· Serve as the primary executive point of contact and relationship manager for the client, consultants, contractors, and local authorities.

· Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and ensure clear, effective communication at all levels.

· Coordinate with corporate and regional leadership for governance, reporting, and approval processes.

Technical Authority & Construction Oversight

· Provide overarching technical and managerial oversight for all project facets: civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and critical systems (power, cooling, fire protection, security).

· Lead design reviews, value engineering initiatives, and risk assessment workshops.

· Act as the ultimate technical authority, resolving complex challenges during construction, commissioning, and handover.

· Guarantee compliance with all relevant industry standards, Thai regulatory requirements, permits, and approvals.

· Collaborate closely with design and engineering teams to ensure technical specifications and compliance are met.

Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) Stewardship

· Champion and enforce a zero-harm culture, ensuring strict compliance with all EHS standards on site.

· Oversee all quality control procedures, including inspections, testing, and non-conformance management.

· Institute and lead First-of-a-Kind (FOK)/mock-up programmes to validate functionality, constructability, and performance before full-scale implementation.

Commissioning & Operational Transition

· Direct and coordinate Integrated System Testing (IST) and commissioning activities.

· Ensure a seamless handover to the operations team with comprehensive as-built documentation and training.

· Support the project in achieving relevant certifications (e.g., ISO, LEED, TIA-942).

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline

· 10-15 years+ years of experience in construction project management, with at 5+ years in a senior leadership role on large-scale, mission-critical facilities. Proven data centre project delivery experience is highly preferred.

· Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering greenscale DC projects on time and within budget.

· Deep technical knowledge of data centre technologies, infrastructure, sequence of work, and standards (SOO, QA/QC, Commissioning Management, EHS).

· Strong familiarity with local Thai construction regulations, permitting processes, and authority submissions.

· Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera P6) and CAD/BIM tools (AutoCAD, Revit).

· Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are considered a strong advantage.
