Role purpose:

The Account Information System Specialist will be responsible for managing, analysing, and reporting on account-related data using advanced information systems. This role requires an individual skilled in PowerBI and adept at leveraging all Microsoft Office Applications to optimise workflow, support decision-making, and enhance business intelligence across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimise PowerBI dashboards and reports to deliver actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Design and manage account information systems to ensure data accuracy, security, and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with accounting, finance, and IT teams to streamline data flows and improve reporting processes.
  • Utilise Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, etc.) to support data analysis, documentation, and presentation activities.
  • Identify opportunities to automate routine reporting and data management tasks using relevant tools and macros.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to account information systems and PowerBI reports.
  • Provide training and support to team members on the effective use of PowerBI and Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices in data management.
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to information systems and reporting methodologies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in designing and managing PowerBI dashboards and reports.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and macros), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to data accuracy and security.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with data integration, automation tools, or scripting (e.g., VBA) is an advantage.
