Job Description:

Strategic Planning & Organic Growth Strategy

  • Develop comprehensive SEO and content marketing strategies aligned with business objectives and product priorities
  • Define organic channel targets, KPIs, and success metrics for traffic, rankings, and lead generation
  • Create quarterly and annual roadmaps for SEO initiatives, content programs, and technical improvements
  • Identify strategic opportunities for organic growth based on market analysis, competitive research, and business goals
  • Develop investment cases for SEO tools, content resources, and technical improvements
  • Present organic channel strategies and performance to senior leadership and stakeholders

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop SEO team (1 person) and content marketing specialists across product domains
  • Lead any task related to web revamp / web development when needed
  • Assign task responsibilities and manage workload distribution across all related functional
  • Conduct performance reviews, set individual goals, and create professional development plans
  • Foster collaborative team culture focused on knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
  • Provide technical training and guidance on advanced SEO techniques and content strategies
  • Build team capabilities in emerging organic marketing techniques and platform updates

Enterprise SEO Management & Technical Leadership

  • Oversee technical SEO infrastructure across all product domains and website properties
  • Lead large-scale technical SEO initiatives including site migrations, architecture improvements, and platform upgrades
  • Develop and enforce SEO best practices, guidelines, and quality standards across the organization
  • Coordinate with IT and development teams on technical implementations and website improvements
  • Monitor algorithm updates and adjust strategies to maintain and improve organic visibility
  • Implement advanced SEO tactics including programmatic SEO, structured data strategies, and entity optimization

Content Strategy & Editorial Leadership

  • Define overarching content strategy framework aligned with customer journey stages and business priorities
  • Establish content quality standards, editorial guidelines, and brand voice for organic channels
  • Oversee content calendar planning across all product domains ensuring balanced coverage and strategic alignment
  • Develop content frameworks for different funnel stages (awareness, consideration, decision)
  • Lead content innovation initiatives including interactive tools, calculators, comparison guides, and multimedia content
  • Ensure content accessibility, inclusivity, and compliance with financial services regulations

Agency & Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with SEO agencies, content production partners, and specialized vendors
  • Negotiate contracts, scopes of work, and performance expectations with external partners
  • Evaluate agency performance and make strategic decisions about agency composition and capabilities
  • Coordinate multiple agency workstreams ensuring alignment and efficient collaboration
  • Manage combined agency and vendor budgets (typically $100K-300K annually)
  • Identify needs for specialized expertise and onboard new vendors as required

Performance Analysis & Strategic Reporting

  • Analyze organic channel performance across all domains, identifying trends, insights, and optimization opportunities
  • Create executive-level reports and presentations on organic marketing performance and ROI
  • Develop attribution models for organic channel contribution to pipeline and revenue
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on algorithm updates, traffic changes, and competitive movements
  • Forecast organic traffic and lead generation based on historical data and planned initiatives
  • Implement advanced analytics including cohort analysis, customer lifetime value tracking, and multi-touch attribution

Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner with Performance Marketing and social team to align paid and organic strategies and avoid cannibalization
  • Collaborate with Product teams to influence website roadmap and ensure SEO considerations in product development
  • Work with CRM teams to track organic lead quality and optimize for high-value conversions
  • Coordinate with Brand, Product, Legal and Compliance teams on content approval process to ensure all content meets regulatory requirements
  • Influence IT and Development priorities to secure resources for technical SEO improvements

Competitive Intelligence & Market Research

  • Conduct comprehensive competitive SEO analysis across product categories
  • Monitor industry trends, search behavior changes, and emerging organic channels
  • Identify competitive threats and opportunities in organic search landscape
  • Benchmark organic performance against industry leaders and direct competitors
  • Research and test emerging organic channels (voice search, AI search, video search)
  • Share competitive insights with broader marketing team and leadership

Link Building & Digital Authority Strategy

  • Develop comprehensive link building and digital PR strategies to build domain authority
  • Create thought leadership programs that attract natural backlinks and industry recognition
  • Build partnerships with industry associations, publications, and authoritative websites
  • Oversee outreach campaigns for high-value link acquisition opportunities
  • Monitor and protect brand reputation through proactive online presence management
  • Develop strategies for earning links from government, educational, and financial authority sites

Innovation & Testing Programs

  • Establish structured testing frameworks for SEO experiments and content variations
  • Test emerging technologies including AI content tools, voice optimization, and visual search
  • Pilot new content formats and distribution channels
  • Implement programmatic SEO approaches for scale opportunities
  • Test and adopt new SEO tools and technologies to improve efficiency and results
  • Document and share learnings from testing programs across organization

Budget Management & Resource Allocation

  • Manage organic marketing budget including agency fees, tools, content production, and technical resources
  • Allocate resources across product domains based on strategic priorities and ROI potential
  • Make investment decisions on SEO tools, content technologies, and specialized services
  • Track budget utilization and optimize spending for maximum efficiency
  • Develop business cases for budget increases or strategic investments
  • Report on organic marketing ROI and cost per acquisition metrics

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 5 years of progressive SEO and content marketing experience with at least 2 years in management role
  • Proven track record of building and scaling organic marketing programs
  • Experience managing teams and developing marketing talent
  • Previous experience in financial services, fintech, or highly regulated industries strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success driving significant organic traffic growth and lead generation at scale

Technical Skills

  • Expert-level proficiency in enterprise SEO tools and platforms (Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs)
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics 4, including custom reporting, advanced segments, and attribution modelling
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO including JavaScript SEO, mobile-first indexing, and Core Web Vitals
  • Experience with enterprise CMS platforms and content workflow management systems
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and API integrations
  • Understanding of machine learning applications in SEO and content optimization
