Job description

  • Oversee and optimize the storage, handling, and distribution of inventory within the warehouse facility.
  • Ensure the warehouse environment remains organized and well-maintained.
  • Monitor and enhance inventory accuracy through systematic verification processes.
  • Manage timely receiving and dispatching of merchandise.
  • Conduct thorough product inspections before warehousing or shipment to prevent discrepancies and damage.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control team to facilitate product inspection procedures.
  • Lead and supervise the warehouse team, including logistics coordinators and warehouse personnel.
  • Provide comprehensive training and orientation to new hires on warehouse operations and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
  • Monitor team members and operational staff to guarantee adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures, and established guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain accurate documentation for inventory control and management.
  • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to monitor and update real-time inventory information.
  • Coordinate product distribution from warehouse to customers or inter-warehouse transfers.
  • Liaise with cross-functional departments including Sales and Shipping to ensure efficient workflow coordination.
  • Review and manage warehouse operational expenses and budget controls.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Warehouse Management or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in warehouse operations (supervisor experience or team management experience is required)
  • Experience in logistic / freight forwarding (Air freight and Sea freight) are preferrable.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management principles.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and practices.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other relevant technology.
  • Good command in English (Listening, speaking, reading and writing)
  • Hold a valid driver's license and own a personal car/motorcycle.
  • Willing to work overtime during peak periods or on weekends as needed.
