1. Position Summary
The Quality Management System (QMS) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the organization's Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001 or other applicable standards.
This position ensures that all processes are effectively documented, controlled, and aligned with customer and regulatory requirements.
· The QMS Manager oversees all quality management system activities across the organization. This includes:
• Establishing, updating, and maintaining the Quality Management System documentation.
• Ensuring system compliance with ISO, customer, and regulatory standards.
• Entire production process — from raw material inspection, in-process quality checks,
final inspection, and shipment release.
• Coordinating internal and external audits.
• Driving continual improvement initiatives.
• Supporting cross-departmental compliance and training related to QMS practices.
• Includes incoming inspection, in-line QC, final inspection, defect analysis, calibration,
audit, and quality documentation.
• Serve as the company's management representative for quality system matters.
A. Quality Management System (QMS)
· Develop, implement, and maintain the factory's QMS according to ISO 9001 or customer-specific standards.
· Prepare, review, and update quality procedures, SOPs, inspection plans, and checklists.
· Lead internal quality audits and coordinate external/customer audits.
· Ensure document control and proper traceability of records.
B. Supplier and Incoming Quality Assurance· Establish and monitor supplier quality requirements and performance.
· Approve incoming raw materials and components through sampling and inspection.
· Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for supplier non-conformities.
· Work with Purchasing and Engineering to qualify new suppliers and materials.
C. In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)· Define inspection points and sampling frequency for each production stage.
· Monitor defect trends and take immediate action to correct process deviations.
· Train line leaders, QC inspectors, and operators on quality awareness and standards.
· Ensure proper communication between QA and Production for non-conformances.
D. Final Quality Inspection & Product Release· Supervise final inspection and ensure AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) compliance.
· Authorize shipment release only after meeting quality standards.
· Handle customer complaints and implement 8D / Root Cause Analysis reports.
· Maintain inspection reports, defect statistics, and traceability logs.
E. Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement· Analyze rejection, rework, and repair data to identify recurring issues.
· Lead Kaizen, 5S, or Six Sigma quality improvement initiatives.
· Report KPIs such as First Pass Yield, Rejection Rate, Customer Returns, and Audit Scores.
· Develop training programs on quality awareness and problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
F. Compliance & Safety· Ensure all quality operations comply with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
· Support sustainability and social compliance audits (e.g., ISO, BSCI, SEDEX).
· Coordinate calibration of measuring instruments and maintain records.
G. Team Leadership & Coordination· Supervise QA/QC inspectors, auditors, and technicians.
· Set departmental objectives and monitor performance.
· Conduct regular meetings with production and management to review quality trends.
· Foster a culture of ownership and accountability for product quality.
4. Qualifications· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management or QMS-related roles.
· Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and related management system standards.
· Certified ISO 9001 Internal or Lead Auditor preferred.
· Excellent documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong communication and training capabilities.
