- This position manages, implements, and continuously improves operational business process management across functions to ensure performance quality in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and to deliver superior customer experience. The role supports customer system requirements and various types of customer audits, including IATF16949 and other standard systems. This position leads all QMS activities at a management level, including but not limited to the following:
Strategy and Development
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best-practice capacity planning strategies, policies, processes, and procedures to enhance overall operational performance.
- Support new business initiatives and projects by assessing, reviewing, and communicating their impact on the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Management System to ensure full adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This includes defining quality policies and procedures, establishing quality control processes, and maintaining all relevant QMS documentation.
General and Task Management
- Develop the Management Systems strategy and establish management arrangements for key milestones, ensuring measurable progress against plan.
- Manage all external registration requirements and act as the key liaison with external certification bodies. Ensure all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised, and aligned with external certification standards.
- Implement all relevant procedures within the Quality Management System (QMS), update quality documentation, and communicate lessons learned from quality concerns.
- Ensure all systems and procedures are in place to meet customer requirements and audit expectations, introducing new systems and procedures where appropriate.
- Provide training to staff on all aspects of the quality system and procedural application.
- Conduct regular internal and process audits of the QMS and ensure corrective actions are implemented to address identified nonconformities.
- Verify closure of nonconformities raised by certification bodies and manage the audit nonconformity database, including detailed analysis.
- Attend meetings, communicate instructions, and prepare written reports and presentations as required.
- Engage in continuous training and development to maintain up-to-date knowledge.
- Develop, implement, and manage KPIs for all areas of responsibility, ensuring performance targets are met and reported.
- Set departmental objectives/KPIs, review ongoing performance of direct reports, and identify required improvement actions.
- Conduct risk assessments for processes and tasks within the department.
People Management
- Ensure the delivery of the People Strategy within area of accountability.
- Manage, coach and develop a high-performing Quality System team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value, and continuous improvements.
- Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
- Motivate and coach the team to achieve operational success.
- Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance is recorded in appropriate systems.
- Consistently promote high standards through personal example and ensure these standards are embedded across the team so that each member understands the behaviours and expectations required.
- Review, implement and update company records, e.g., training matrices, performance reviews, and risk assessments.
- Communicate KPIs from the strategic annual plan so that each employee is aware.
Financial and Budget Control
- Responsible for achieving budget and forecast.
Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
- Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the quality strategy. Communicate with personnel at all levels, internally and externally to the Company, in relation to Quality matters.
- Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers.
- Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement initiatives and process/procedure improvements to optimise results and improve the quality of delivery, in line with quality standards and in accordance with Company and Customer requirements.
- Responsible for laboratory QM compliance with ISO17025 standards.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in QMS, ISO 9001, or IATF 16949 within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, Control Plan.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Good command of English is an advantage.
