Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Quality team (Supervisors and Engineers) to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Oversee and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
  • Act as the Customer Representative to ensure customer requirements and satisfaction are addressed, including quality objectives, preventive actions, and training.
  • Monitor and review product and process nonconformities, initiate corrective and preventive actions, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Define, implement, and monitor quality objectives and KPIs in line with the company's business plan.
  • Ensure product and process quality meet customer expectations and industry standards.
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external audit activities, including certification and customer audits.
  • Review and approve all QMS documentation and changes to ensure system integrity.
  • Manage training plans and budget for quality personnel development.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities and drive the implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
  • Promote cleanliness, safety, and quality awareness throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and reduce defects.
  • Possess authority to stop production or shipment when nonconformities affect product quality or customer satisfaction.
  • Report on QMS performance and improvement opportunities to top management.
  • Serve as the key liaison with external stakeholders regarding quality and compliance matters.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Certificate: IATF:16949, Internal Auditor/VDA6.3 Certification.
  • Experience of more than 7 years in the Quality field at supervisor level.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO/TS IATF standards.
  • Proficiency in tools like 8D, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, and SPC.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues effectively.
  • Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and reduce waste.
  • Experience conducting internal and external audits.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer-specific requirements.
  • Leading and developing quality teams.
  • Solid understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, materials, and assembly techniques.
  • Proven experience in continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience managing customer complaints and warranty issues to ensure high customer satisfaction.
