Job description:
- Develop and execute end-to-end sourcing strategies for assigned indirect spend categories.
- Conduct in-depth spend analysis and market research to identify opportunities for cost savings, supplier consolidation, and process improvement across all categories.
- Lead the entire competitive bidding process (RFI, RFP, RFQ) for major purchases and CAPEX projects, evaluating proposals based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), quality, risk, and technical compliance.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams from the initial planning stages of all CAPEX projects to integrate procurement strategies.
- Manage the procurement of major capital equipment, infrastructure, construction, and plant expansion services.
- Ensure alignment between technical specifications, budget constraints, and project timelines, mitigating risks associated with large, complex investments.
- Lead high-stakes negotiations with key suppliers to secure optimal terms, pricing, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and warranty provisions.
- Draft, review, and manage the complete contract lifecycle, ensuring all legal and commercial terms protect the organization's interests.
- Establish and maintain robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs for strategic vendors to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and joint value creation.
- Achieve aggressive annual cost savings and value contribution targets for both Indirect and CAPEX spend.
- Monitor and report on key procurement metrics (KPIs) such as savings realization, supplier performance, and contract compliance.
- Manage the budget and forecasting for assigned spend categories in collaboration with the Finance department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of procurement experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
- Direct experience in the sourcing and procurement of heavy equipment/spare parts (e.g., cranes, reach stackers, forklifts, terminal tractors, and related machinery).
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations, INCOTERMS, and customs compliance.
- Ability to manage CAPEX procurement for large-scale projects and equipment.
- Good command of business English.
- High level of integrity, negotiation skills, and a cost-conscious mindset.
