Direct Report to Deputy Managing Director & Managing Director
As a key member of the leadership team, the Head of Growth & Strategy plays a pivotal role in shaping and accelerating the company's long-term growth trajectory. This role is accountable for driving profitable, sustainable, and strategic business expansion in close partnership with commercial and business leaders across all units.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Strategic Growth Initiatives:
- Architect and execute high-impact growth strategies that align with the company's vision and market ambitions.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities in new volumes, geographic expansion, market penetration, application technology, and mergers & acquisitions.
Drive Market Intelligence & Foresight:
- Establish a robust intelligence framework to continuously monitor industrial gases market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics.
- Translate insights into actionable strategies that position the business ahead of the curve.
Champion Cross-Business Collaboration:
- Partner with leaders across Bulk Sales, OAM, PGP, and Healthcare to co-create and implement growth programs that unlock synergies, accelerate innovation, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Innovate Commercial Strategies: Spearhead the development of forward-looking pricing models, customer engagement strategies, and value-based selling approaches that enhance profitability and market share.
Orchestrate Execution Excellence:
- Lead the end-to-end execution of strategic growth programs, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, resource optimization, and timely delivery of results.
Inspire a Growth Mindset:
- Cultivate a culture of strategic thinking, agility, and innovation across the organization. Act as a catalyst for change, challenging the status quo and empowering teams to pursue bold growth ambitions.
Key Interface:
- Leadership Teams of Business Units, DMD, MD and Regional Support Functions
- Sales & Marketing Departments in Business Units
- Customers
- Business Management
- Coordinate with Application Technology
- Product Management & Business Development
- Digitalization Teams & IT
- External Suppliers
- Subject Matter Experts and peers within the organization
Required work experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or MBA is preferred.
- Certification in traditional as well as agile project management methods such as PMP.
- Track record in managing complex and transformation projects.
- *Knowledge of industrial gases, technology and projects.
- Strong analytical skills and the competence to understand complex dependencies.
-* Broad understanding of Salesforce and Marketing & Sales processes. - At least 10 years of experience of business transformation, digitalization and international program or project management.
- Strategic mindset and futuristic thinking - Strong business acumen in Sales and Operations
- Proven leadership in building and managing a team with a diverse skill set and strong result-orientation - Able to communicate efficiently across every level of management
- Fluent in English.
