About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Lead Procurement, Rice
to manage the procurement of specialty rice, particularly Jasmine Rice, in the region. The role holder will ensure competitive advantage through optimal cost and quality, delivering uninterrupted supplies in alignment with market demands and business plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive procurement strategies for specialty rice procurement, focusing on cost competitiveness and supply chain efficiency.
  • Monitor agricultural, paddy, and rice market trends, formulating procurement strategies based on market data.
  • Develop and share sourcing plans, making key purchasing decisions aligned with business and market needs.
  • Ensure strategic guidelines for procurement are in place and collaborate with global supply chain teams.
  • Track market intelligence and competitive benchmarking for continuous improvement.
  • Identify new rice sourcing regions to optimize costs and secure supply continuity.
  • Oversee supplier quality standards and collaborate with Quality & Food Safety teams for improvements.
  • Participate in risk assessments, identifying and mitigating risks to the supply chain.
  • Lead vendor relationship management and drive continuous performance improvement programs.
  • Support ocean freight management and rate strategies, ensuring cost-effective logistics.
