Responsibilities
  • Oversee standard costing models, Bill of Materials (BOM) validation, and annual cost roll-ups.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances (Material Usage, Labor Efficiency, Overhead Absorption) and partner with production heads to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Lead the physical stock count process (monthly/annual), manage inventory valuation, and calculate provisions for slow-moving or obsolete stock.

  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with IFRS/Local GAAP.

  • Ensure full compliance with local tax regulations (Corporate Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax) and manage relationships with external auditors and tax authorities.

  • Maintain a robust internal control environment to prevent leakage, fraud, or error, specifically regarding procurement and inventory cycles.

  • Lead the annual plant budget and quarterly rolling forecasts.

  • Provide financial insights to the Plant Director regarding capacity utilization, yield improvements, and energy consumption costs.

  • Champion cost-saving initiatives (e.g., procurement savings, waste reduction) and track their financial impact.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA/CIMA qualification is highly preferred.

  • 8-10+ years of progressive finance experience.

  • Minimum 5 years in a Manufacturing environment with hands-on Cost Accounting experience.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems is mandatory (e.g., SAP (FICO/MM), Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Advanced Excel skills (Power BI knowledge is a plus).
  • Ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance engineers and production managers.
  • Leadership experience managing a team of accountants.
  • Good in English.
