**What's your role in the team?**:
Pomelo is the leading online fashion platform in South East Asia. A platform for fashion focused women with a combination of the best products, the hottest local and international brands, world class content and data driven personalised experiences. Driven by technology and backed by fashion and technology investors from across the world, our mission is to digitise fashion retail through our unique omnichannel model.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Assortment curation**:Ensure monthly assortment aligns with commercial plan and OTB. Bring in new ideas while ensuring commercial needs are met. Able to identify fashion vs trends products to curate the best assortment.
- **Trend Forecasts**:Identify market trends and launch calendar to plan for the assortment. Understanding the Southeast Asian Market.
- **Sales Monitoring**: Monitor sales performance and align buying activities with sales forecasts and business needs, ensuring that purchasing decisions support revenue goals and operational efficiency.
- **Product Development**: Manage the end-to-end development process, including the creation and management of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with budget constraints.
- **Samples Management**:Manage samples timeline with suppliers. Arrange fittings with designers and technical designers.
- **Market Research**: Conduct thorough market research to identify new suppliers, analyze market trends, and evaluate potential cost-saving opportunities.
- **Supplier Management**: Develop and nurture relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable delivery of high-quality goods and services.
- **Process Improvement**: Identify and implement improvements to enhance buying processes and efficiency.

**Who are we looking for?**:
**Required Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, buying, or a similar role, with demonstrated experience in managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
- **Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of buying best practices and market dynamics.
- Understanding of buying metrics (sales through/ sales vs stock/ pricing/ category split)
- Multilingual capabilities. English is required and Chinese is a plus.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Experience in a senior associate or managerial role within a fashion retail business in the buying or merchandising department.
- **Skills**:

- Advanced analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
