This position is located at our Aman Nai Lert in Bangkok, Thailand.
Overview:
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Purchasing Manager holds a critical position within the hotel's management team, responsible for overseeing the procurement process to secure essential goods and services for seamless hotel operations.
The Purchasing Manager will strategically manage sourcing, supplier relationships, cost containment, and inventory control. This role involves close collaboration with various departments to fulfill procurement needs while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the hotel's operational requisites and financial parameters.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on stringent criteria including quality, reliability, pricing, and timely delivery.
- Collaborate closely with department heads to understand specific procurement requirements, product specifications, and budget limitations.
- Employ expert negotiation techniques to secure advantageous terms, contracts, and pricing agreements with suppliers, nurturing enduring relationships.
- Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and product availability, identifying opportunities for cost savings and streamlined processes.
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities, from generating purchase requisitions to overseeing order fulfillment and delivery timelines.
- Implement efficient inventory management practices, optimizing stock levels and minimizing surplus or obsolete inventory.
- Coordinate seamlessly with the finance department to ensure accurate and punctual processing of invoices and payments.
- Establish and maintain procurement policies and protocols, guaranteeing adherence to industry regulations and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable expertise in a senior procurement or purchasing management role within the hospitality sector, preferably in roles with pre-opening experience.
- Profound comprehension of procurement principles, supply chain dynamics, and adeptness in negotiation strategies.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers persuasively.
- Proven track record of managing supplier relationships and negotiating favorable terms and pricing structures.
- Proficiency in utilizing procurement software and tools to optimize processes and uphold meticulous records.
- Meticulous attention to detail, coupled with exceptional organizational abilities to manage multiple concurrent procurement initiatives.
- Acumen in financial matters, capable of scrutinizing cost data and making judicious choices to optimize expenditures.
- Familiarity with industry regulations, coupled with an unwavering commitment to upholding ethical procurement practices.
