Business Development Manager

Our client is a leading global Renewable Energy company that has a Headquarter in Thailand. They have an ambitious plan to provide afforadable clean energy to the global population and tackling the issue of climate change. To show their dedication, they are searching for an experienced individual to join their team as the Business Development Manager
As the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for assessing potential acquisitions of high-quality projects, and negotiating favorable asset pricing and power contracts. This role plays a pivotal part in driving the success and expansion of the renewable distributed generation business.
**Responsibilities**:
- Originate and deliver transaction ideas, identifying both short-term acquisitions and long-term pipeline opportunities.
- Prepare, review, and finalize commercial documents, including preliminary proposals, full proposals, and contracts.
- Collaborate closely with the Country Head and regional Business Development team to assess the strategic fit of potential business opportunities.
- Research and analyze potential acquisitions, assessing their relevance and financial viability.
- Support and coordinate due diligence efforts for potential transactions.
- Develop accurate market segmentation and targeting strategies, identifying asset and market opportunities for Renewable Distributed Generation projects.
- Engage with potential companies/assets to communicate deal benefits and negotiate proposed agreements.
- Evaluate and curate top-tier projects, engage in asset pricing negotiations, and establish secure and viable power contracts.
- Implement partnerships and industry relationships that support the growth of the Renewable Distributed Generation business.
- Adhere to Group investment decision, compliance, and financial rules and delegated authorities.
- Coordinate research and analysis with cross-functional stakeholders including engineering, legal, and other departments to assess strategic impact and risks.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Minimum 6 years of business development or sales engineering experience within the energy sector.
- A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.
- Strong proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- Proven track record of successful deal origination, negotiation, and execution.
- Familiarity with renewable energy industry trends, market dynamics, and evolving regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to upholding compliance standards, including HSE regulations.
