**Job Purpose**

As the Contract Risk Manager for Lucy Electric in the APAC region, your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with and support the business, legal, and finance teams. Your role involves ensuring that all proposed commercial transactions and contracts undertaken by the company in the region are thoroughly assessed for significant contract, regulatory, and compliance risks before being signed on behalf of the company. To fulfill this responsibility, you will work closely with other members of the company's contract risk team located in the UK, UAE, and India.

**Job Context**

The role requires a strong display of analytical skills, a comprehensive grasp of contract law principles, and proven experience in drafting and negotiating intricate, high-value commercial contracts. Additionally, you'll provide timely, clear, and robust advice and support to key internal stakeholders on matters related to commercial contracts.

**Job Dimensions**
- This position will be based at our Bangkok Sales office and will involve travel to Rayong and other sites within the APAC region.
- The company utilizes a matrix reporting structure for its contract risk team. You will report administrative and product-related matters to the Regional Managing Director. For contract risk-related activities, you will report to and receive support from the group legal team.

**Key Accountabilities**

These responsibilities will include:

- Meeting challenging deadlines while maintaining precision and consistency in document creation.
- Establishing strong relationships with internal stakeholders and ensuring timely communication of pertinent contract information as needed.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for contractual and related legal inquiries within Lucy Electric in the region, collaborating closely with the Group Legal department.
- Participating in regular meetings and delivering written reports and updates to the group general counsel about the status of ongoing and current contract reviews and negotiations.
- Leading all contract reviews, negotiations, and the implementation of contract modifications, always focusing on minimizing contract and business risk.
- Referring all matters that could impact contract or business risk from financial, tax, accounting, or legal standpoints to the Company's corporate finance and legal teams for guidance and support.
- Ensuring adherence to all internal contract review and approval procedures in accordance with legislation and the Company's internal policies (TAF approval process and guidance).
- Maintaining accessibility and auditability of all contract documentation and related communications for the Company's internal and external auditors.
- Safeguarding that all crucial contract documents are securely stored in the Company's central contracts repository after signature.
- Identifying and directing potential issues and disputes with contractual counterparts to the corporate legal team for guidance.

**Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience**
- A bachelor's degree in a related field is required at minimum.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in international contract law.
- Extensive experience in managing commercial contracts within a technical or similar industry.
- Experience in providing commercial support and guidance for exporting to foreign countries.
- Experience in managing and implementing processes, projects, and change initiatives.
- Proficiency in negotiating large-scale contracts within complex and regulated environments.
- Familiarity with strategic procurement and delivery.
- Ability to handle complex demand challenges in intricate operational settings.
- Experience in effectively working with and influencing senior stakeholders, both with and without direct authority.
- Experience in managing and collaborating with a diverse workforce, including non-direct reports.
- Writing submissions and briefings effectively
