We are seeking a talented Chef with a strong background in either Italian or French cuisine to join our team in Washington, D.C. While we are not a fine dining establishment, we take pride in offering delectable and authentic dishes to our patrons

**Job Description**:

- Prepare and present Italian or French-inspired dishes with flair and authenticity.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and refresh menus, incorporating both traditional and contemporary elements.
- Manage kitchen operations, including staff supervision, inventory control, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Ensure consistent food quality and appealing presentation.
- Adapt recipes and menu offerings to cater to diverse customer preferences.
Requirements:

- Not have been in J1 status within the US for the past 2 years (to enable J1 visa eligibility).
- Age range in late 20s to early 30s, with sufficient experience to contribute positively without being overqualified for an entry-level visa.
- Proficient in conversational English (essential for successfully navigating the consular interview and excelling in the job role).
- Display confident presentation skills (critical for passing the consular interview).
- Ability to articulate compelling reasons for maintaining ties to their home country (necessary to pass the consular interview).
- Exhibit a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn and develop (essential for success in the job).
- 1 year of experience if graduated from a culinary faculty or 5 years of experience in another related field. This set of qualifications aligns with J1 visa requirements and also renders them eligible for H1B and P3 visas.
- Proven experience as a Chef specializing in either Italian or French cuisine.
- Effective leadership skills and the ability to work seamlessly in a team.
- Strong knowledge of Italian or French culinary techniques, ingredients, and traditions.
Compensation: Negotiable starting at $20-$22 per hour+OT
