**Volvo Bus Asia Pacific (APAC)** is one of the leading clusters within Volvo Bus Corporation (VBC) and has a proud history of profitability and growth. It is responsible for Bus Vehicle and Service sales business, partnership with Volvo’s own and private importers, key customers and body build partners, and progress of the Volvo Buses total business within the region.
We are looking for a well-qualified individual to join the team as
**Sales & Business Development Manager, Volvo Bus Thailand**.
Based in Thailand and reporting to the General Manager, Volvo Bus Thailand, the Sales & Business Development Manager, is responsible to drive sales growth, foster client relationships, and explore new business opportunities in the bus chassis business.

**Sales, Pricing & Strategy Development**
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives and revenue targets
- Set sales targets, monitor performance, and provide coaching and support for continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage accurate budget, sales forecasts and monitor actual sales performance against targets.
- Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide insights to senior management.
- Develop, implement, review and adjust pricing strategies that align with market dynamics, competitive positioning, and profitability goals.
- Provide recommendations for adjustments in product offerings or business strategies based on market intelligence.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
- Anticipate market trends, technological advancements, and changes in customer preferences to position the company for future success.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to establish/strengthen the company's presence in the bus chassis market.
Business Development & Collaboration
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments.
- Conduct market research to assess the feasibility and potential of entering new geographic areas or industries.
- Work closely with engineering, research and development teams to align product development with market needs.
- Provide input on product enhancements and innovations to meet customer requirements.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective promotional materials, campaigns, and events.
- Provide market insights to support the creation of targeted marketing strategies.
Customer Relations & Satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, dealers/distributors, stakeholders, influencers and decision-makers in the industry
- Understand customer’s needs and collaborate with the product development team to tailor offerings accordingly.
- Gather customer feedback and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Address customer concerns promptly and work to enhance overall customer experience.
Product & Homologation
- Manage the homologation process for new and existing products including coordinating and overseeing testing procedures.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities and agencies to obtain necessary approvals and certifications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date product homologation documentation that comply with regulatory and internal standards.
- Ensure that testing is conducted according to regulatory standards and specifications.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the homologation process.
Contract Negotiation & Regulatory Compliance
- Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the company.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalize and execute contracts.
- Stay informed about and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing the bus chassis industry.
- Work closely with regulatory bodies to secure necessary certifications and approvals.
Sales Training
- Develop and conduct training programs for the relevant stakeholder to ensure improved competence, product knowledge, selling techniques, and market insights.
Critical Competencies and Experience
- In-depth understanding of bus chassis business, including knowledge of industry trends, key players, and market dynamics.
- Proven track record of successful sales and negotiation in a business-to-business context.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and close complex deals.
