Senior Service Manager

Service Design is a critical discipline in the capturing and documentation of IT services to business. Service Design focuses on capturing key elements of a digital service to ensure that costs associated with the development and implementation of the service are captured and can be used throughout the lifecycle of the service from initial scoping through to decommissioning.

**You will**
- Establishes relationships with nominated Service Managers, and builds a schedule with each SM to both capture and maintain pertinent information relating to services under their remit.
- Works with Service Managers to capture and collate key information across the SPM framework:

- Capture elements of High Level Design (Service Outline, Uniqueness, Service Owner name etc.)
- Capture elements of Fine Level Design (Management and Design elements such as architecture, procurement, licensing, compliance management etc.)
- Manages SD element change management
- Assists SM with developing and maintaining their annual plans, including inclusion of new/modified outcomes.
- Works with Service Managers to build service objects within SIM Service Now.
- Prepares each Service for submission to the global SPM board, for subsequent approval.

**Your skills**
- Graduate in Computer Science/IT/ Business or related field
- ITIL V3 and above Intermediate Certificate
- 2+ years’ experience in leading the transition of IT services within an enterprise environment
- Significant experience working within a live IT Service environment
- Knowledge of ITIL process design & implementation
- Knowledge of the implementation and support of Incident/Problem Management processes
- Knowledge of service governance processes and the ability to understand risk to services
- Solid understanding of industry direction and best practices
- Previous leadership experience is highly advantageous
- Demonstrable knowledge of ITIL principles and frameworks, ideally with practical experience in the capturing of key critical information relating to multiple dimensions of a digital service offering
- Demonstrable experience with Service Now tools, including the ability to query and sub-divide systems
- Ability to understand at a reasonably high level, key technology concepts such as;
- Client-Server architectures
- Stack development concepts (hardware, OS, platform/data)
- Ability to work with stakeholders from across the business and technology teams, to direct the capturing of key critical information.
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal, oral, and written in English
