Manager - Corporate Affairs

- Drive brand awareness and reputation, employee communications, advocacy; and enhance crisis preparedness
- Responsible for the country’s corporate communications including external communications, online communications, crisis communications, employee communications; brand management; and government and stakeholder relations
- Provide consultation and support to the local service recipients including management, business and functional units on all communications-related issues
- Work closely with Asia Pacific Communications Hub and RBU communicators to ensure alignment and deliver high quality communications that meet expectations by local service recipients
**Main Tasks**
**Drive Awareness and Reputation**
- Strengthen corporate branding and sharpen brand image via consistency of all touch points
- Ensure Corporate Identity/Corporate Design alignment and strengthen brand and CI/CD internally
- Continue establishing BASF as global sustainability and innovation leader locally
- Support positioning of management for their presence at external events and speaking opportunities
- Enhance using Public Relations tools such as news releases, media interviews, etc.
- Develop digital and social media presence using corporate social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
- Strengthen media relations with top relevant organizations and enhance media coverage
- Support Business Units for all marketing communications and customer focused activities
- Initiate and implement social engagement activities eg BASF Kids’ Lab, BASF Virtual Lab, school renovation, playground building
- Focus on cost-effective, value-creating and high-impact activities to align with budget management
**Drive employee communications**
- Support management in employee communications through events, townhalls, newsletters, internal social media
- Enhance internal communication channels and employee engagement activities through compelling messages, stories and initiatives
- Support roll-out/implementation of local, regional and global strategies/initiatives and change management through effective integrated communication and engagement activities e.g. corporate strategy, Sales Awards etc.
**Enhance crisis preparedness**
- Ensure a readiness of crisis communications at all sites in Thailand through crisis communications training, media training, database updates
- Be an active member of CIMT (Country Incident Management Team) providing efficient and timely consultancy and support in communications
**Drive Advocacy**
- Together with management and relevant units, map out, set up and strengthen relationship with external stakeholders, particularly with regulatory/ government stakeholders, educational institutes, NGOs, etc.
- Support management and relevant units in developing advocacy strategies and implementation through speaking opportunities, memberships, etc.
**Qualification**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Journalism, Marketing or Mass Communications
- 7 to10 years direct related working experience in public relations, project management and marketing communication, preferably both in agency and in-house
- At least 5 years working experience in an international and multicultural environment
- Excellent Thai and English in verbal and written communication skills
- Good at presentations, event moderation and public speaking
- Excellent working knowledge of basic computer programs
