**The Opportunity**:
The Head of Design will be fully in charge of shaping the creative direction at Nimble, overseeing the vision, processes, and quality standards for all design-related projects. This is a pivotal role requiring a strategic thinker who can drive our team of elite designers towards creating exceptional UX and UI. **What You Will Do**:
Although each day is usually different and presents its own challenges, there are common themes that you will face every day.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the talented group of our UX/UI designers to create innovative, user-centered designs that align with our business objectives.
- Define and maintain a cohesive design vision and strategy that supports Nimble’s goals and aligns with our core values.
- Oversee Project Execution. Ensure high standards in all design deliverables and consistency across assets, meeting both internal and external expectations.
- Discover new projects, understanding the pain points and users’ expectations, and defining how to approach the problems or innovations through user experience.
- Manage user research and insights to refine designs, ensuring that every solution is intuitive, functional, and user-focused.
- Support Product, Engineering, and Operations teams with design implementation. Interact with Product Managers and iterating on designs. Interact with external stakeholders, listening to and understanding their feedback while defending your design decisions.
- Reviewing your team’s work, both internal (assets produced for Nimble) and external (assets produced for clients).
- Report and providing insights to the Chief Product Officer.
- Participate in the definition of the Design team’s direction.
- Support the recruitment efforts and participating in the hiring process.
- Identify and leading new design initiatives.

**Requirements**:
**Technical Knowledge**:

- 8+ years of experience as a UX/UI Designer.
- You master the tools of your craft such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, etc.
- You are intimately familiar with all core steps of the design process: user research, user flows, wireframing, and UI design.
- You have expert knowledge of user experience, design patterns, and platform-specific design (e.g., iOS vs. Android).
- You know how to create advanced, highly dynamic, and convincing prototypes.
- You continuously stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and frameworks.
- You are familiar with project management; you have the ability and experience to lead design projects independently.

**People Management**:

- 5+ years of experience leading a team of UX/UI Designers with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams and creating an environment of continuous learning.
- You have experience leading and mentoring other designers.
- You know how to identify your team members’ strengths, how to leverage those strengths, and how to develop them further.
- You know how to strengthen your team members’ weaknesses through mentoring and defining their growth objectives.
- You have the ability to set objectives for the design team to reach the company’s higher goals.

**Organization**:

- You have excellent time management and work organization skills.
- You can ensure that any design work produced by the team meets the level of quality expected of the team.
- You can foster a learning environment amongst all the design team members.
- You have the experience to identify areas of improvement for the team, and you have the ownership to lead the documentation and implementation of those improvements.

**Communication**:
