**Description**

As R&D Chemist, you are responsible for Packaging Coatings business with regards to new product development, product modification and resolving queries from customer line. You will also make sure the lab work requested have been done and response to the requesters within agreed time.

You will report to Senior Technical Manager SEA - Packaging, based on-site, in Samut Prakan, Thailand.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Formulate coatings to meet specified performance demands, as well as, formula modifications such as appearance and color.
- Understand market and customer needs, and working with Sales & Marketing, propose, plan, and implement, new development projects to a successful commercial conclusion
- Identify and test new raw materials that offer performance or cost advantages.
- Identify and justify new equipment and/or techniques that expand our capabilities
- Identify and maximize opportunities to improve existing products and processes.
- Participate in customer visits to gain a clear understanding of their needs or problems and translate this knowledge into high-quality R&D projects.
- Participate in line trials of new products and modify products.
- Use different statistical tools (e.g. DOE and Minitab) to design experiments and analyze the results.
- Comply with and contribute to Corporate Safety, Health, and Environmental Policies.
- Approximately 10-20% travel for technical support of customers and affiliates.
- Formulate coatings to meet specified performance demands, as well as, formula modifications such as appearance and color.

**Qualifications**
- 2 years of experience in Product development or Technical service in Coatings or Paint industry.
- Experience in Coatings or Paint industry
- Bachelor's Degree, majoring in Chemical or related fields
- Experienced in resolving technical queries and work in service culture environment
- Experienced presenting the results to customers.

**Salary**: ฿29,895.00 - ฿43,000.00 per month
