**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and programs specific to the manufacturing environment, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments of manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to integrate safety practices into the design, operation, and maintenance of machinery and equipment.

- Lead safety committees or teams, fostering employee engagement in safety initiatives and encouraging the reporting of safety concerns.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans, coordinating drills and ensuring preparedness for potential emergencies.
- Monitor safety equipment and personal protective gear, ensuring their availability, proper usage, and regular maintenance.
- Conduct safety audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of safety measures and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular safety reports and updates to senior management.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in safety management within a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to manufacturing operations.
- Professional certifications in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, ASP, CHST) are preferred.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, equipment, and related hazards.
