Compliance and Safety Manager

**Role and Responsibilities**
**Job purpose**:
The Compliance and Safety Officer is responsible for the management of Compliance Management Systems and provide health, safety and environment program by working with internal and external stakeholders to establish, implement, review and promote quality, compliance, continuous improvement systems and safety.
The Compliance and Safety Officer is also responsible for managing and ensuring regulatory and legal compliance with relevant industry requirements.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The Compliance and Safety Officer shall be ultimately responsible for;
- Verification by monitoring the activity in the fields of training device qualification and training, that the standards required by the authorities are being carried out under the supervision of the relevant manager.
- Ensuring that the compliance management system is properly established, implemented and maintained.
- Organizing, executing and reporting the Quality Monitoring Program and Quality Procedures to verify that standards and rules are complied with.
- Plan, manage, and direct quality assurance policies, programs, audits and other activities.
- Monitoring, following up and evaluating the implementation of corrective actions that may arise from quality inspections, audits and management evaluations.
- Provide management with an independent assessment of corrective and preventive actions, their implementation and completion.
- Maintaining records of completed audits, non-conformities and corrective and preventive actions.
- Edition, amendment, distribution and updating of documents.
- Proactively lead preparation for 3rd party audits, serve as the point of contact during the audit and drive resolution of open items after the audit.
- Organise and implement training for all employees including organizational best practices and continuous improvement.
- Create ownership and accountability to quality and safety throughout the organization.
- Work closely with management and staff to cultivate a Safety Culture within the organisation.
- To ensure the company’s Safety, Health and Environment Policy Statement is implemented.
- To monitor, evaluate and review Safety, Health and Environment Policy and make recommendations and implement new policies and procedures on safety as and when required.
- To assist and advise relevant Head of Departments in the identification of safety training needs for employees and develop the training plan in accordance to the requirements.
- To support managers to maintain safe systems, providing specialist advice, coaching and practical support to identify hazards.
- Plan and conduct periodical safety audits to identify hazards.
- Plan and conduct periodical Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) activity to mitigate the impact and likelihood of health and safety risks.
- To assist organization to implement health and safety systems and procedures to meet specific requirements, such as accident reporting in an effective manner.
- To investigate, or where appropriate, to assist others to investigate the circumstances and causes of accidents and take necessary steps to prevent a recurrence.
- Plan and conduct safety meetings for the Safety & Health Committee periodically.
- Prepare regular reports on compliance and activity for presentation to the Management.
- To compile and have a proper documenting system for all reports or incidents and report to the relevant related agencies in a monthly, quarterly or yearly basis as per the requirement.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Minimum 2-3 years working experience as a Quality professional, including Quality leadership experience.
- Must be a hands-on leader willing to take responsibility.
- Must have a proven track record of successful ISO certifications.
- Must be able to fluently speak, write, and read the English language
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be proficient in communications at all levels, both inside and outside of the company.
