**Job Description**:
SUMMARY
International trade is a trillion-dollar business, with air freight representing ~35% of the addressable market. In Southeast Asia alone, the total market size is ~US$4B+, with sector growth driven by a once-in-a-generation opportunity; e-commerce
penetration. E-commerce fulfillment in itself is already a US$2B+ space, growing 30% per year. As an operator transporting
cargo to over 110 airports across Asia, we are at the frontlines of this large, but unsexy space. This white space motivates us to redefine the way the supply chain operates, expand our suite of services to get closer to the end-customers, and to build
products that empower both small business owners as well as large enterprises.
We are looking for entrepreneurial people with a passion for people engagement and helping others with their problems. In this role, you must be comfortable working across diverse functional groups and have had experience delivering aggressive sales outcomes. As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for the performance and growth of our acquisition function in our Thailand Domestic and Cross Border markets. You will be expected to be performing this role on a full-time basis. The role reports to the Head of Country.
A DAY IN A LIFE
As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:
- Source for business opportunities and maintain a strong knowledge/awareness on ‘whats the latest in the market’ in terms of pricing as well as solutions
- Lead the presentation and creation of pitch/solutions decks; follow up with relevant legal and operational teams to ensure that our solutions are backed with robust legal documentation that protects Teleport as a service provider
- Work with multiple stakeholders to scope work, identify appropriate resources to pilot solutions, set goals, track and report progress, develop schedules and communicate to customers
- Confidently negotiate and influence customers while at the same time be able to exercise good business judgement - knowing when to exercise the trade offs where there is an opportunity for long-term partnerships
- Create acquisition plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives
- Ideate and drive acquisition strategy, process and experience from pre-sales to acquisition
- Build capability across all levels and all teams

SKILLS
These are minimum skills requirements and a ‘must-have’ for the role:
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with ability to motivate and drive outcomes
- Proven ability to collaborate internally with cross-functional teams
- Results and performance driven, preferring data to drive your everyday decisions
- Possess a hands-on mentality and an analytical and structured way of working
- Track record of building high-performance teams
- Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization to scale quickly
- Self-motivated with a focus to exceed set goals
- Comfortable adapting to new technologies
- Open to travelling across Southeast Asia
- Experience in CRM platforms (Hubspot, Salesforce) is a plus
- Regional leadership experience
- Startup experience
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- At least an undergraduate degree
- 7+ years working experience, predominantly in a Sales leadership role
- Familiarity with process mapping, flowcharting
- Strong Excel, reporting skills
