Key Responsibilities
- Define, deploy, maintain, review, and audit the QMS aligned to standards and customer requirements; verify effectiveness and efficiency.
- Develop and implement reliability policies, procedures, and methods across in-house operations, production partners, and material suppliers; drive operational quality improvements and customer quality services.
- Establish quality strategies and methodologies for current and future technologies/packages/products; build a sustainable quality culture and continuous improvement mindset.
- Assess reliability of wafer/package/module/system failure mechanisms; define process optimizations, design rules, screening measures; implement monitoring (e.g., fWLR), develop novel reliability methodologies and test solutions, and execute reliability tests.
- Provide product risk assessments for excursions (e.g., Design Rule Violations, MRB, CAR); contribute to development project qualification and act as Q-Team leader.
- Plan and manage Technical Feasibility Checks for reliability projects of varying complexity; coordinate priorities and timelines with Lab Planners and clients.
- Plan, execute, and liaise with Operations on stress setup and optimization to meet required stress conditions and agreed start dates.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external test houses; manage milestones and deadlines; rebalance workloads across the Lab Cluster to address capacity constraints.
- Troubleshoot and resolve stress-related issues for new and existing products; monitor and report activities, equipment downtime/malfunctions, and provide early warnings on delays and bottlenecks.
- Maintain, repair, modify, optimize, characterize, and buy off stress equipment, boards, tools, and online monitoring systems.
- Review, update, and document work instructions, specifications, and OJT materials; ensure documentation accuracy and audit readiness.
- Serve as work center leader for equipment development/modification/transfer; develop and improve methods/processes to optimize quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of reliability qualifications for product/technology/material/process changes.
- Drive equipment and process adaptations to meet new requirements.
- Lead/participate in continuous improvement initiatives, YIP submissions, and 8D problem solving; share best practices across local and cluster teams.
- Pursue ongoing training to build relevant knowledge and bridge competency gaps.
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous improvement/failure prevention within the engineering team.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's in Electrical/Electronics/Microelectronics/Semiconductor Tech (5+ years exp) or Diploma (7+ years exp).
- Experience: 5+ years with semiconductor reliability stress equipment, methodologies, and reference standards; programming know-how is a plus.
- Equipment/process: Setup, modification, and optimization of stress equipment, test recipes/profiles, drivers/stress boards; online monitoring and automated data capture with control limits.
- Buy-off/systems: Perform system and stress board buy-off/release using T32; register in REALIS; resolve equipment issues across complexity levels.
- Technical knowledge: Semiconductor physics, packaging and wafer technologies; interpret device electrical parameters impacted by materials/process changes or applied stress.
- Troubleshooting/repair: Working principles, diagnostics, schematic/circuit interpretation, and repair of stress equipment.
- Skills: Strong analytical/problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Willing and able to travel internationally to support cross-site projects, supplier/customer engagements, and training.
- Strong command of English (spoken and written) for effective communication, technical documentation, and presentations to global stakeholders.
