Pre-season

o   Develop and maintain MFP according to best business practices at the hierarchy level required for the country (category, subcategory, occasion, typology)

o   Align sales, cost, margin, markdown and stock planning with business targets.

o   Ensure consistency between system recommendations (HPM – Blue Yonder) and business strategy.

o   Provide OTB targets at the required product hierarchy level and monitor and control against purchases.

o   Monitor seasonal stock positions to assure that Stock Turn and OTB decisions are sound

o   Coordinate with Merchandising key commercial moments assuring stock requirements are planned accordingly

o   Highlight risks and opportunities to optimize buying decisions

In-season

o   Review weekly results against MFP and highlight performance within the context of the merchandising weekly reviews

o   Assess proactively in season sales, markdowns, and intake forecasts aiming to set action plans as necessary to achieve seasonal targets

o   Provide regular analysis on cover weeks, intake costs, sales trends, and markdown projections.

o   Monitor performance of key commercial moments assuring sales, stock and margin targets are met

o   Evaluate performance of promotions and provide feedback for future planning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

o   Act as the planning counterpart to Merchandising, ensuring decisions are grounded in accurate data and forecasts.

o   Work closely with Distribution, IT, and Finance to ensure alignment across the value chain.

o   Work closely with Retail Operations to align the commercial calendar and store expansion plan, to ensure and accurate forecasting and effective preseason planning

Profile & Skills

  • Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel/system skills (HPM – Blue Yonder experience is a plus).
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and able to challenge constructively.
  • Other duties as per assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Merchandise Planning, OTB Management, or Demand/Supply Planning in Retail or FMCG (fashion/footwear preferred).
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and financial modeling skills (advanced Excel proficiency referred).
  • Familiarity with planning systems such as Blue Yonder, SAP, or equivalent BI tools.
  • Demonstrate ability to balance commercial agility with disciplined inventory control.
