POSITION SUMMARY

Do you have travel industry experience and are looking for a step up? We've got a great role based in Bangkok available for a keen, smart, talented professional who wants to learn and grow with the job. Due to the location, you will be required to be a fluent English and Japanese speaker.

You'll be working with our suppliers globally to deliver the best ever travel experiences to our amazing guests. You'll need keen attention to detail, a questioning mind, and the ability to find the most efficient and effective way to get something done.

This role is responsible for operational delivery and quality across our Asian destinations, including Japan, South Korea, China, Southeast Asia, and the Indian Subcontinent. The region includes both mature destinations and emerging markets, requiring strong cultural awareness, supplier management capability, and the ability to support multiple Ground Handling partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate Travel Experiences through Ground Handlers for Insight Vacations, Trafalgar and Costsaver

  • Ensure standards that are set for Ground Handlers are clearly communicated to follow for all brands
  • Monitor and respond to emails coming into the mailbox
  • Work with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of our tours
  • Track the success of existing itineraries and identify problems and opportunities
  • Managing any guests' complaints, finding a resolution and escalating where necessary
  • Conduct both briefings and debriefings with Travel Directors and Travel Concierge
  • First line of contact for emergency operational requirements from our Ground Handlers
  • Conduct quality checks of suppliers and venues as required
  • Review guests and market feedback – monitor FEEFO, Travel Director reports, Guest Questionnaires, and feedback from the various selling regions
  • Quality Control to ensure experiences are delivering to brand standards
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Ground Handlers to ensure the Travel Experiences briefs are met
  • Ensure that Technical Itineraries are up to date and available to our global teams
  • Support with the content in Airtable to ensure it is up to date for our sales teams
  • Review Seasonal components in Tropics to identify any operational concerns
  • Ensure that any on-road issues are managed in a timely manner and all company procedures are implemented
  • Maintain our Travel Director training resource
  • Conduct training for Travel Directors and other key suppliers as well as our Sales and Marketing teams
  • Ensure content remains up to date with regional changes and experience imagery, including Guest documentation, website with assistance from our Content Team
  • Manage and source trails for new experiences collaboratively with our Ground Handlers

ROLE SUCCESS CRITERIA

  • NPS uplift achieved to 70 for Asia and 65 for Japan within 12–18 months.
  • On-road operational issues resolved within agreed service timeframes.
  • Supplier inspections (where required) completed annually with corrective actions implemented within 30 days.
  • Operational readiness delivered for new destinations according to launch timelines.

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE

  • Fluent English and Japanese speaker is required for this role
  • Experience operating or contracting guided journeys is preferred
  • Experience working with ground handlers is preferred
  • Experience living, studying or working in the US, Australia, UK or other key source markets for our guests an advantage
  • Pro-active with a positive and can-do attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills and tech-savvy, proficient in PowerPoint and Excel

TRAVEL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Work Location: Hybrid (office & remote) - details to be agreed with line manager
  • Travel: International travel required
  • The right to work in Thailand
