Assistant to the Cultivation Manager

We are looking for an Assistant to the Cultivation Manager at our brand-new cannabis indoor facility in Khan Na Yao, Bangkok. Medical Herb Life is a multi-national company with several facilities in Thailand. The assistant has the great opportunity to work alongside top cannabis cultivators in state-of-the-art facilities and gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing industry.

You will assist in all aspects of the cannabis cultivation process, working under the guidance of the Cultivation Manager. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of plant care and cultivation techniques and be eager to learn and follow detailed instructions to support high-quality cannabis production.

• Assist cultivation manager with overseeing the daily operations of the farm, including the planting, cloning, trimming, and harvesting of crops
• Ensuring that the plant's cultivation environment (such as cleanliness, lighting, pH, and nutrients) and cultivation system are consistently met or working efficiently for optimal growth conditions to ensure production targets are met and report to manager
• Monitoring plant growth, as well as checking for and identifying diseases or other potential threats and report to cultivation manager
• Assist manager with organizing the planting, cloning, trimming, and harvesting process of plants
• Assist manager with compliance regarding cultivation procedures (GACP) and relevant legislations

• Keeping daily reports on operations and cultivation, including inputting data and updating such data in any software system provided
• Assist manager in developing a cultivation plan and assigning team members according to such plan
• Assist manager in producing and updating the standard operating procedures (SOP) for cultivation
• Check the inventory and equipment related to cultivation (including the planning of raw material and equipment purchases and maintenance) and report shortages or problems to manager
• Administrative tasks such as ordering equipment, dealing with suppliers and government authorities
• Implement QA/QC activities in inspecting products to ensure adherence to company quality standards and customer specifications and law / regulation (GAP / GACP)
• Create forms and checklists according to company requirements and regulation (GAP / GACP)
• When problems occur, need to analyze and discuss counter measure with manager
• Able to train, coach, motivate and discipline employees on the cultivation plan and SOPs
• make working schedule for grower staff
• Other tasks as assigned (such as helping out in cannabis production)
• Deputy function during certain periods (holidays / sick leave /absence of manager)
• This position will report to cultivation manager

• Bachelor degree in science field, preferably agriculture, horticulture, plant production or similar
• 1 to 2 years job experience in similar position (Hydroponic, Research, Plant Production)
• Intermediate English language skills in understanding, speaking and writing (Note: the manager is foreigner that can speak and understand basic Thai language)
• Thai nationality only

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Technical skills – knowledge of the plant (biology, soil science, irrigation and fertilization) as well as knowing how to identify pests and diseases and how to treat them
• Communication skills – to convey information to others in a clear and precise manner as well as the ability to train other team members
• Leadership skills – to ensure that team members follow safety protocols and maintains the quality of the products and the ability to positively motivate team members
• Analytical and problem solving skills - to examine a situation and determine the best course of action
• Development skills - Willingness to learn and take direction from senior cultivation staff
• Microsoft Office skills (mostly Excel, Word)
• Willingness to relocate near the facility would be an advantage (location is near Panasonic, Seri Thai Road)
• Valid car and motorcycle license
