About the role

We are seeking a talented Tool Designed to join our team at Schaeffler Manufacturing (Thailand) Co., Ltd.' in Chonburi. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our mechanical engineering operations. As the Tool Designed, you will be responsible for designing and developing specialized tools and equipment to support our manufacturing processes.

What you'll be doing


• Responsible for overall tool management in SMT plant.


• This includes tool design, tool supplier development, tool produrement, tool cost saving, projects and the lead of the tool service supervisor / team, responsible for tool trial.


• Tool design for support all product in plant:


• Create new 2D&3D of tool drawing in Creo program, ensuring that of the model/drawing is updated to SAP system according tool design guidelines.


• Change/modify version 2D&3D of tool drawings in Creo program, ensuring that the current version of the model/ drawing is always updated to the system according tool design guidelines.


• Tool trial in production line:


• Analysis and corrective action on tool failure during tool trial and production.


• Ensure that the newly designed tools are functional and that any problems with the tools during trial or te sting are modified and problem solving.


• Support SMT projects team for tool design of new model in SMT.


• Tool cost saving activities of Tool design.


• Keep all working areas according 5S.

General tasks:


• Keep equipment and environment in good condition.


• Follow Safety Procedure / requirement.


• Support and take initiatives on Fit for Quality.


• Support and take initiatives on SPS/LEAN.


• Support and take initiatives on Safety & Security, Health, Environment.

What we're looking for

  1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Tool design or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in tool design and development, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  3. At least 3 years of professional experience in tool related field, tool design, tool shop or similar.
  4. Professional experience in an Automotive compony / supplier would be an asset.
  5. Experienced in 3D CAD, preferably in Creo/Pro-Engineer.
  6. SAP experience would be an asset.
  7. Experience in lean production would be an asset.
  8. Proficiency in CAD software and strong technical drawing skills
  9. Hands-on experience in fabrication, machining, and prototyping
  10. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  11. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  12. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  13. Good working knowledge of English in oral and written.
