The Opportunity

Cobra International Co., Ltd. is seeking a talented Design and Development Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chonburi. As a Design and Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the engineering and design processes, contributing to the development of innovative solutions that drive our company's growth.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Investigate and evaluate new composite materials, resin systems, fibers, and advanced processing technologies to enhance product performance and manufacturing efficiency.
  2. Conduct feasibility studies and develop prototype components for performance assessment and production validation.
  3. Perform mechanical, thermal, and chemical testing on composite samples, analyze test results, and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
  4. Design composite parts using CAD/CAE tools with consideration of performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.
  5. Carry out structural analysis and lay-up optimization, as well as prepare 2D/3D drawings, BOMs, specifications, and work instructions.
  6. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues within the assigned scope of work.
  7. Support quality-related activities by performing root-cause analysis and providing effective technical solutions.
  8. Collaborate closely with production, QA, purchasing, and sales teams throughout project execution to ensure smooth workflow and successful outcomes.
  9. Provide technical support to customers, including test data interpretation and recommendations for product application.

What We're Looking For

  1. Degree in Engineering, with a focus on design and development
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  3. Strong technical skills and proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software
  4. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  5. Effective communication and collaboration abilities
  6. Commitment to delivering high-quality work and continuous improvement
