We are now seeking for a highly experienced, motivated and dedicated professional to join us as Country Manager – Thailand.

Job responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement proactive sales strategies to expand the business with existing distributors and contribute to acquire new business aggressively
  • Build and maintain strong and sustainable relationships with distributors and all project stakeholders by emphasizing Forbo's product value and quality
  • Develop opportunities within major companies for the full portfolio of Forbo products with particular emphasis on commercial product and national specifications
  • Work closely with distributors, key customers and influencers to ensure that Forbo have a good reputation and are seen as a good trading partner
  • Recommend and implement sales strategies for improvement based on market search and competitors' analysis
  • Analyse market trends, profitability and develop sales/marketing strategies to capitalize on key market opportunities
  • Ensure that maximum value is derived from all marketing and sampling budgets and ensure than spend levels are within agreed targets
  • Responsible for key account development
  • Proactively identify the changes in the market to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly
  • Conduct detailed monthly/quarterly and yearly sales plans and recommend strategies to maximize profitability
  • Report monthly and quarterly on benchmarks and key performance issues as agreed with the superior
  • Complete all statutory and Forbo reporting requirements to agreed timescales
  • Be responsible for all relevant legislation and manage all occupational health & safety issues
  • Work closely with other key functions within Forbo to ensure consistency of communication and clarity of action
  • Manage customer information to derive maximum business benefits. Enhance internal information systems and ensure information is accurate and up to date

Job requirements:

  • 10 to 15 years of successful business to business sales experience in building materials industry, with proven track record exceeding targets
  • Solid understanding of flooring products, market, trends, technologies and players would be a definite advantage
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close and able to integrate sale and marketing within the country
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of Forbo's products and services and position them against competitors
  • Good in understanding and applying market intelligence to sales strategies
  • High level of financial and business acumen
  • Strategy development, project management, problem solving and change management skills
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence effectively at all levels both internally and externally
  • Exceptional negotiation skills
  • Hands-on management style
  • Frequent travel within the country is required
  • Good command of spoken and written English
