Job Summary:
The Accounting Supervisor (AR & AP) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations related to accounts receivable and accounts payable across all business units under Chaw Management Group.
This role ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of financial transactions while supervising the accounting officers responsible for data entry, document control, and payment processing.
The Accounting Supervisor acts as the link between the operational teams and the Accounting Manager, providing coordination, review, and reporting support without handling GL or tax filing tasks directly.
Job Description:
AR & AP Operations Oversight
- Supervise and review all AR/AP transactions recorded by Accounting officers or System in the NetSuite ERP system.
- Verify sales invoices, purchase invoices, and supporting documents (PO, IR, Receipts) for accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee all revenue streams of the company on a daily basis.
- Ensure all invoices, payments, and collections are processed within schedule and aligned with company policy.
- Review AR/AP aging reports and monitor overdue balances, unbilled transactions, or pending payments.
- Follow up with internal teams (sales, procurement, and operations) to resolve discrepancies or document issues.
Coordination & Process Management
- Coordinate with relevant departments (HR, Corporate Affairs, Purchasing, Operations) to ensure proper document flow for all payment and billing activities.
- Support the Accounting Manager in preparing summary reports, reconciliations, and monthly accounting schedules.
- Monitor workflow to ensure consistent compliance with internal control procedures and documentation standards.
- Act as the key contact for AR/AP inquiries from business units, vendors, and auditors.
- Participate in monthly closing preparation for AR/AP-related schedules.
Team Supervision & Support
- Lead, train, and guide accounting officers to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to accounting policies.
- Review subordinates' work for quality, completeness, and timeliness.
- Conduct on-the-job coaching to strengthen team members' ERP and accounting knowledge.
- Foster a supportive, collaborative, and disciplined work environment.
- Ensure all staff maintain confidentiality and professional conduct when handling financial data.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and review summary reports on AR/AP movement, payment status, and outstanding items.
- Analyze aging reports and highlight unusual trends, payment delays, or potential risks.
- Support the Accounting Manager in cost control analysis and vendor/customer performance tracking.
- Ensure management has accurate visibility of receivables, payables, and cash flow status.
System & Continuous Improvement
- Oversee AR/AP processes within NetSuite ERP to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve daily accounting operations.
Assist in testing and implementing workflow updates or automation tools to enhance team productivity.
- Encourage team adoption of AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Notion AI, Gemini, or workflow automation tools) to streamline repetitive tasks and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience:
4–7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role managing AR/AP functions.
- Experience handling accounting for multiple business units or group-level companies.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP or other enterprise accounting systems.
- Solid knowledge of AR/AP processes, documentation flow, and internal control.
- No requirement to handle GL entries or tax filing directly (but familiarity is a plus).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in NetSuite ERP (or equivalent ERP system).
- Strong command of Google Sheets / Excel (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP, data validation).
- Knowledge of accounting document management and internal audit readiness.
- Strong coordination skills with Finance, Operations, and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Notion AI, Gemini, or automation systems).
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational ability.
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving and follow-up discipline.
- Positive attitude with a focus on team collaboration and service mindset.
Language:
Thai: Excellent communication, reading, and writing.
- English: Basic to intermediate level (for document review and internal coordination).
