Service Associate (Teller)

Job Summary
As a Service Associate (Teller) at UOB (Thai), you will be the frontline representative, providing exceptional customer service and efficient transaction processing to our valued clients. You will play a crucial role in delivering a positive banking experience and upholding the bank's commitment to service excellence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process various customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, fund transfers, bill payments, and foreign exchange.
  • Verify customer identities and transaction details to ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
  • Assist customers with inquiries regarding their accounts, products, and services, escalating complex issues to appropriate departments when necessary.
  • Promote and cross-sell the bank's products and services to meet customer needs and achieve branch targets.
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer balances, reconcile daily transactions, and adhere to strict cash handling procedures.
  • Educate customers on self-service banking options and digital channels.
  • Resolve customer complaints and provide solutions in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) guidelines.
  • Participate in branch meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and service skills.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a customer service role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry, is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and banking software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple transactions concurrently.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
  • High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and strong ethical principles.
  • Ability to speak and write in Thai fluently; proficiency in English is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required by business needs.
