Fire Protection Engineer – Data Center
Job Summary

The Fire Protection Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design review, installation, commissioning, and acceptance of fire protection systems in data centers and other mission-critical facilities. The role ensures that all fire safety installations meet design intent, technical standards, and Thai fire protection regulations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Fire Protection System Design & Technical Review
  • Review and evaluate fire protection system designs, specifications, and engineering drawings for data centers or large critical facilities.
  • Understand the complete architecture of building fire protection systems, including overall system composition and subsystem functions (e.g., fire suppression, detection, alarms, pumps, sprinklers, clean agent systems).
  • Ensure compliance with Thai fire protection construction standards, codes, and acceptance criteria.
2. Construction & Installation Oversight
  • Supervise on-site construction and installation of fire protection systems.
  • Monitor construction procedures and verify quality for each subsystem (e.g., piping, pump rooms, fire alarm networks).
  • Provide technical guidance to contractors and ensure adherence to design specifications and safety requirements.
3. Testing, Commissioning & Acceptance
  • Oversee system testing and commissioning processes to ensure proper functionality and performance.
  • Verify that all fire protection systems meet project requirements, statutory codes, and safety standards.
  • Review and approve commissioning documents, testing reports, and acceptance records.
4. Supplier & Contractor Management
  • Coordinate with equipment suppliers, system integrators, and installation contractors.
  • Manage and control project quality, ensuring materials, equipment, and workmanship meet contractual and technical standards.
  • Support problem resolution, technical clarification, and site coordination activities among stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in fire protection system design, engineering, or O&M for data centers or other large critical facilities.
  • Strong understanding of building fire protection architecture, system components, and construction procedures.
  • Familiarity with Thai fire protection construction standards, codes, and system acceptance requirements.
  • Experience supervising installation and commissioning of fire protection systems.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and contractor management skills.
  • Relevant professional certifications are a plus (e.g., CFPS, NFPA courses, Thai engineering license).
