Responsibilities & Activities:

  • Manage and control receiving inspection processes to improve the efficiency of quality inspections for serial production.
  • Manage Supplier Non-Conforming Reports (SNCR), ensuring timely and effective closure of 8D reports, and oversee supplier recovery costs and incoming material quarantine issues.
  • Coordinate with the Purchasing team to conduct supplier annual audits based on risk analysis, including annual PPAP reviews.
  • Coordinate with Corporate SQE or responsible parties regarding quality assurance for overseas suppliers.
  • Collaborate with the core team to partially validate PPAP submissions for component ECR/SRC (Engineering Change / Supplier Request for Change) and approve Level 2 PPAP.
  • During ramp-up phases, monitor supplier EPC (Early Production Containment) performance in the plant and provide feedback to Supplier Quality Development Engineers and suppliers.
  • Coordinate with Program Buyers to confirm component status according to CPF (Component Packaging Form) and VAVE initiatives.
  • Oversee Supplier Performance Management and support the escalation process where required.
  • Ensure safety and compliance by maintaining or minimizing OHS hazards/risks and environmental impacts from activities performed on the premises.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager.

Qualitifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality within the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Multidisciplinary Supplier Quality knowledge in injection molding, coating, stamping, materials, and rubber components.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems, particularly IATF 16949.
  • Proficient in Supplier Quality Management.
  • Solid knowledge of Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA.
  • Competency in audit tools and second-party auditing.
  • Skilled in problem-solving techniques such as 8D, 5 Whys, fault tree analysis, and fishbone diagrams.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proficient in using measuring tools such as vernier calipers, CMM, profile projectors, height gauges, and checking fixtures.
  • Computer literate, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Experience with SAP (Supplier Module).
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel and work at supplier locations, both domestically and internationally.
  • Experience in supplier non-conformity management and driving performance improvement.
