Tasks/Responsibilities:

Overview:

  • Demonstrates competency in Leadership, Vision and Strategic Thinking, Analytical Thinking, Results Orientation and Integrity.
  • Manage and ensure COMO Shambhala brand standards and standard operating procedures are upheld.
  • Work closely with the General Manager at COMO Metropolitan Bangkok and the Group Director of Wellness Operations and to set revenue and guest service goals and assist field-based wellness management teams to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Management of guest/s wellness programme consultations/assessments schedule and any other guest as per requirements ensuring thoughtful, compassionate and informative consultations are being carried out by yourself and your team.
  • Accountable for overseeing operations and able to develop strategic operational plans (short- and long term) ensuring measurement and reporting service initiatives, results and strategies.
  • Responsible to implement financial planning and controls that supports growth and business success
  • Accountable for continued growth, while implementing the necessary measures to ensure the adaptability to industry trends
  • Developing standard operational procedures, plans and programs under governing brand standards whilst providing the best quality services, characterised by a congenial and secure environment for guests and team members alike.
  • Problem solving skills and sound decision making ability based on business needs.
  • Always maintain professional appearance and demeanour.
  • Assist with educating the COMO Shambhala Team in existing and new sales initiatives/strategies, including, but not limited to efficient booking, yield management, solution sales, value-added rooms' packages, retail penetration, and add-on penetration and cross-promotions.
  • Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with all COMO Metropolitan Bangkok departments and potential external partners.
  • Work at all levels of the organization, possessing a big picture perspective while having a strong appreciation of the details.
  • Understand and communicate operational concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong administrative, organizational and time management skills.
  • Thorough follow-through and a sense of urgency to effectively complete all projects and tasks in a timely fashion.
  • Execute and managed all wellness initiatives under the direction of the Group Director of Wellness Operations and General Manager, ensuring complete alignment across all teams and operational functions
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment with changing work priorities.

People Culture and Management

  • Ability to develop internal talent that facilitates future growth opportunities.
  • Recruits, develops and trains candidates providing feedback to the management team.
  • Accountable to coach and implement staff training in all aspects of Spa and Wellness Operations.
  • Conducts annual performance appraisals.

Sales and Marketing

  • Work closely with the marketing departmental team and Group Director of Wellness Operations to develop promotional activity and ensure alignment and cohesiveness with the brand to increase the visibility of COMO Shambhala and its services to guests.
  • Assist to produce annual sales marketing plans in conjunction with hotel activities and wellness partners.
  • Serves as a catalyst for Sales & Marketing and all other revenue-producing departments within operations.

Operations:

  • Consistently monitoring Post Stay Survey results, ensuring departmental LQA audits and propose training plans to maintain COMO Shambhala high standards and rectify any issues as they arise.
  • Recommend operational improvement initiatives to be incorporated in COMO Shambhala, working closely with the General Manager and Group Director of Wellness Operations
  • Working with the relevant departments to create wellness initiatives for COMO Metropolitan Bangkok
  • Review operational monthly reports for both properties, summarising and prioritising action items.
  • Ensure standard operating procedures including all Environmental Health and Safety protocols, policies and procedures of COMO Shambhala.
  • Manages administrative standard operating procedures.
  • Implements and maintains safety procedures, practices and complies with local legislation.
  • Assures application of departmental emergency procedures and/or safety manual.
  • Coordinate with various teams to guarantee seamless execution and consistent service delivery.

Finance
:

  • Manage revenue and guest service goals for both properties and assist field-based wellness personnel to ensure such goals are achieved.
  • High level understanding of cost structure to ensure revenue initiatives/strategies are focused appropriately.
  • Measure and report on the success/shortfalls of revenue initiatives/strategies and propose modifications as necessary.
  • Work closely with the Finance department to ensure revenue initiatives are properly reported and analysed.
  • Work closely with General Manager and Group Director of Wellness Operations to enhance and optimize business to ensure additional revenue generation.
  • Communicate regularly with the hotel management to have a full understanding of the status of revenue initiatives/strategies and anything impacting revenue at such location.
  • Assists to develop annual business plan including budget, capex and manning guides.
