Position Summary
The New Market Development Manager is responsible for driving Bangkok University's international student recruitment in emerging and high‑potential markets, with primary focus on China, Indonesia, and other new territories with high opportunity. The role requires strong market research capability, partnership development, and the ability to execute student recruitment strategies that deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion & Strategy Development
Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new international markets for student recruitment.
Develop market-specific entry strategies and annual recruitment plans.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and student behavior.
Propose new recruitment channels and partnership models.
Student Recruitment & Sales Execution
Achieve enrollment targets for assigned markets (UG & PG).
Conduct school visits, seminars, fairs, and online activities.
Build pipelines for undergraduate, and graduate programs.
Manage follow-ups, interviews, and conversion activities.
Agent & Partner Management
Source, evaluate, and onboard new education agents.
Maintain strong partner relationships.
Provide training and updated program information.
Monitor partner performance.
Marketing Activation & Local Insights
Localize content for each market.
Support creation of Chinese-language and market‑specific materials.
Identify effective digital platforms and influencers.
Provide insights for marketing investment.
Reporting & Operational Management
Submit monthly market updates and performance summaries.
Maintain accurate CRM data (HubSpot or equivalent).
Submit business trip memos before travel budget release.
Coordinate with admissions, marketing, and academic units.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Master degree in Business, Marketing, International Relations,
- Education or related fields.
- Strong English communication skills.
- 3–5 years of experience in student recruitment, sales, or international business development.
- Experience working across international markets.
- Ability to travel internationally.
- Strong negotiation skills and target-driven mindset.
Preferred:
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin Chinese (speaking, reading, writing).
- Experience recruiting from China, Indonesia, Africa.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred).
- Strong network in education agencies and schools.
