JOB OVERVIEW
The Wellness & Spa Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and optimizing the performance of PAÑPURI's portfolio of luxury wellness and spa properties. This role supports the Group Manager of Wellness & Spa in managing all operational aspects across existing and future locations, both in Thailand and internationally.
With current properties in Bangkok, Pattaya, and Penang, and more international openings planned, this position ensures operational excellence, financial performance, guest satisfaction, and brand consistency across all wellness experiences.
As a key leader in the Global Services Business Unit, the role requires a balance of strategic vision, hands-on operational oversight, and the ability to inspire high-performing teams in diverse cultural contexts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance & Operational Excellence
- Oversee the operational delivery of all PAÑPURI wellness & spa properties, ensuring achievement of sales targets, profitability, guest satisfaction scores, and operational KPIs.
- Continuously monitor property performance, identifying opportunities to drive revenue growth, cost optimization, and service innovation.
- Implement operational best practices and elevate service standards across all locations.
International Spa Management
- Provide leadership across multiple markets, adapting operational strategies to align with local cultural and market needs while maintaining PAÑPURI's global brand DNA.
- Ensure seamless pre-opening, launch, and ongoing operations for new spa properties worldwide.
- Serve as the operational leader for international expansion initiatives.
People Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and inspire spa managers and their teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences and achieve performance objectives.
- Drive a culture of accountability, emotional intelligence, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee talent development plans, coaching programs, and succession planning for key positions.
Financial & Business Management
- Analyze financial performance of each property, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
- Support pricing strategy, promotions, and revenue management initiatives tailored for local and international markets.
- Prepare and present operational and financial reports to senior leadership with actionable insights.
Guest Experience & Brand Consistency
- Uphold PAÑPURI's wellness philosophy and brand standards across all touchpoints.
- Champion innovative guest experiences that combine Eastern wellness traditions with modern sensorial rituals.
- Oversee guest feedback systems, ensuring continuous improvement in satisfaction and loyalty.
Project Management & Pre-Openings
- Lead pre-opening activities including feasibility studies, concept/menu development, FF&E/OS&E procurement, and team recruitment/training.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder alignment for seamless delivery.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing, Training & Development, and other cross-functional teams to support operational goals and guest engagement strategies.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive operational success globally.
QUALIFICATYIONS & SKILLS
- 10+ years' experience in multi-unit spa, wellness, or luxury hospitality operations, including international property oversight.
- Proven track record in driving sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction across multiple locations.
- Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and performance analysis.
- Inspiring people leader with expertise in team development, coaching, and performance management.
- Strong cultural awareness and ability to adapt leadership style across diverse markets.
- Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
- Fluent in Thai and English; additional languages an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office and reporting tools; confident in presentations and stakeholder communication.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to oversee international operations and projects.
- Certification in spa management, wellness, hospitality, or related fields is preferred.
