Procurement Officer

Main Purpose:
As a Procurement Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain. You will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating materials and services from various suppliers. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining our high-quality standards and optimizing costs.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Sourcing Suppliers: Identify, research, and evaluate potential suppliers. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts to secure advantageous terms.
- Procurement: Oversee the procurement process from order placement to delivery. Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services essential to the company's operations.
- Quality Control: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure procured items meet the required quality standards. Address any quality issues with suppliers promptly.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with other departments to forecast demand. Implement strategies to minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze costs, negotiate supplier contracts, and implement cost-effective strategies without compromising quality or reliability.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal and company policies. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on procurement metrics, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels. Present findings to management as necessary.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and finance, to coordinate procurement activities and resolve any issues.
Qualification:
Formal Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Work Experience:
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Welcome new graduate who can communicate in Chinese.
Specific Qualification for Position:
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills to secure advantageous terms.
- Analytical Abilities: Ability to analyze data, market trends, and supplier capabilities to make informed decisions.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Computer Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office Suite. Experience with procurement software is a plus.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Ethical Conduct: Uphold ethical and professional standards in procurement processes.
- Speaking and writing skills in Chinese is an advantage.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
