What you'll be doing
1. Revenue Tracking & Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Daily Sales Audits: Perform daily transaction audits for physical retail stores and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Facebook, TikTok Shop) to ensure revenue integrity and identify discrepancies.
- Billing & Collections: Issue invoices, billing statements, and tax invoices for branches and B2B customers. Coordinate timely payment collection and record all incoming customer payments.
- Complex Reconciliations: Manage and reconcile accounts involving complex consignment sales, direct shipments, and returns/credit notes.
- Branch Support: Organize, file, and audit financial documentation for various branches monthly.
2. Accounts Payable (AP) & Expense Management
- Invoice Processing: Review and process vendor invoices (both PO and non-PO), ensuring correct account coding, proper authorization, and alignment with company policies.
- Disbursement Management: Prepare and manage weekly and monthly payment cycles; communicate directly with suppliers regarding payment inquiries.
- Employee Expenses: Manage and audit employee expense reimbursements, ensuring all claims are valid and supported by documentation.
3. Tax Compliance & Statutory Reporting
- Tax Filing: Prepare and submit all monthly Thai tax forms, including PND.1, PND.2, PND.3, PND.53, PND.54 (Withholding Tax), PP.30, PT.40, and P.36 (VAT), SPS 1-10, and PND.90/91 by the end of March of the following year.
- Tax Documentation: Reconcile VAT reports against supporting tax invoices; ensure all original tax invoices are complete and stored in accordance with Revenue Department standards.
- Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all financial operations comply with local Thai accounting standards and tax regulations.
4. General Ledger (GL) & Financial Closing
- Closing Procedures: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including bank reconciliations, accruals, amortized expenses, and necessary journal entries.
- Data Integrity: Review the General Ledger to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and submitted for timely reporting.
- Audit Readiness: Maintain accurate records and documentation for internal and external audits.
5. Administrative & Stakeholder Coordination
- Internal Liaison: Coordinate with internal teams regarding payroll accounting and cross-departmental financial queries.
- Treasury Support: Assist with treasury operations, including fund transfers and cash flow monitoring.
- General Administration: Provide support for office-wide tasks, such as purchasing supplies and managing incoming/outgoing documentation.
- External Liaison: Serve as the point of contact for external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and government agencies.
What we're looking for
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years in a full-loop accounting role, preferably within retail, e-commerce, or FMCG.
Technical Skills:
Strong command of Thai Tax Law (VAT/WHT).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software or ERP systems, such as Oracle, is an advantage.
Languages: A proficient command of English is required for reporting. Mandarin is a significant advantage for communicating with the China-based headquarters.
Attributes: The candidate should be detail-oriented, a fast learner, able to work in a team environment, able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced retail setting, and possess a proactive attitude.
