Job Summary
What is a Business Development (BD) role at PlanToys? It's about strategic growth
. We are specifically seeking a candidate with a strong Marketing background because we believe finding new business is not just about sales; it's about deeply understanding the market, the customer, and our brand's unique story.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Analysis & Strategy:
Use your marketing skills to conduct in-depth market research, identifying new geographic markets, customer segments, and strategic channels. - Opportunity Identification:
Proactively identify and qualify new business leads and strategic partners that fit the PlanToys brand and mission. - Relationship Building:
Build and nurture relationships with prospective clients and partners, from initial contact to contract negotiation. - Strategic Pitching:
Develop and deliver compelling sales propositions, presentations, and business cases that are grounded in market insights and our unique value. - Pipeline Management:
Manage the entire business development pipeline, tracking progress and reporting on key metrics to senior management. - Cross-Functional-Collaboration:
Work closely with the core Marketing, Product Development, and Operations teams (based in Trang) to ensure new opportunities are viable and successfully launched. - Global Travel:
Represent PlanToys at international trade shows, partner meetings, and market visits.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing is required. (A degree in Business Administration with a heavy specialization in marketing will also be considered).
- 3-5+ years of proven experience in Business Development, Strategic Sales, or a related role, preferably within the consumer goods, toy, or educational sector.
- Demonstrable strong foundation in marketing principles: market analysis, segmentation, and value proposition development.
- A proven track record of identifying new opportunities and achieving growth targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and highly organized.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
- Able to travel frequently (domestically and internationally
).
