Position Overview:

This position will oversee and enhance the operational performance of multiple retail locations within a designated area, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The Area Manager will lead, mentor, and develop branch managers and their teams, implement strategic initiatives, and uphold company standards to drive growth and brand loyalty in the competitive beauty retail market.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise, promote, and support the branches to achieve the sales targets set by the company.

  2. Distribute sales targets to each branch every month so that shop managers can manage their sales to meet the goals.

  3. Review the sales plans of shop managers to ensure that the branches can achieve those sales targets.
  4. Coordinate and support promotional activities with various departments.
  5. Promote branch operations by coordinating with the central office and supervisors.
  6. Review and plan promotional activities or promotions for each branch in collaboration with shop managers.
  7. Analyze sales in collaboration with the branch managers.

  8. Evaluate the sales situation of the branches in collaboration with shop managers.

  9. Monitor sales results and review the sales analysis reports from shop managers.
  10. Assess sales issues and provide support in collaboration with shop  managers.
  11. Coordinate with relevant departments such as purchasing, marketing, accounting, HR, and others to resolve those issues or to plan future sales
  12. Collaborate in analyzing and resolving issues with shop managers.
  13. Submit a weekly sales analysis report to the Operations Head Office.
  14. Analyze the branch performance at the end of each month.

  15. Analyze branch performance based on the SOP report.

  16. Establish action plans for each factor to achieve the targets in collaboration with shop managers.
  17. Participate in the monthly Area Manager meeting.

  18. Meet to understand the goals and policies from management to ensure alignment with the set targets.

  19. Hold monthly meetings to review the performance of each area to determine if targets are being met.
  20. Present various topics that are beneficial or can be shared with other areas through information exchange.
  21. Monthly meetings with branch managers.

  22. Prepare the previous area's performance results to serve as meeting information.

  23. Summarize the company and area performance for the branches.
  24. Provide a detailed summary of each branch's performance to inform them of the monthly results.
  25. Share information from the monthly area manager meeting with the branches.
  26. Plan and collaborate with shop managers to achieve year-end targets.
  27. Listen to and assist in resolving each branch's issues.
  28. Support shop managers' work by collaborating with them on branch operations planning.
  29. Coordinate with various departments to support the branch operations or resolve the branches' issues.

  30. Coordinate with the Sales Operations Support Manager.

  31. Coordinate directly with various departments in case of emergencies.
  32. Monitor employee movement in the branches (manpower turnover) to ensure that the branches have sufficient staff for effective operations.

  33. Monitor the attendance and departure of branch staff to ensure that the branches have sufficient personnel for effective operations.

  34. If an employee submits a resignation, conduct an exit interview in collaboration before their departure.
  35. Coordinate with relevant departments to fill any vacant positions.
  36. Develop performance evaluation plans for branch managers and conduct evaluations every quarter, as well as an annual evaluation.

  37. Receive the evaluation plan from the supervisor (KPI).

  38. Create performance evaluation plans for each branch manager (Performance Management).
  39. Submit the evaluation plans to the supervisor.
  40. Evaluate the performance according to the KPIs of each branch quarterly and at year-end.
  41. Analyze deficiencies and provide support to address performance issues that do not meet the targets.
  42. Maintain store standards by visiting the branches and creating an Area Manager Checklist, as well as managing assets and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition (for area managers in Bangkok).

  43. Visit each branch, ensuring that each branch is visited at least twice a month.

  44. For the main branches of the area, visits should occur at least 1-2 times a week.
  45. Ensure that the store layout meets company standards (Visibility / Availability / Store standards & Service)
  46. Check and maintain operational standards according to company policies by using the Store Standard Checklist, summarizing issues to be addressed in collaboration with the branches, and coordinating with relevant departments to resolve those issues.
  47. During the next branch visit, always follow up on the progress from the previous Store Standard Checklist.
  48. Check and ensure that essential equipment in the branches is functioning effectively.
  49. Assist in setting up the store for new promotions in designated branches each month to maintain consistency and standards across all branches.
  50. Verify that the store layout aligns with the POG from the purchasing department and that promotional setups conform to the specified formats.
  51. Maintain store standards by visiting the branches and creating an Area Manager Checklist, as well as managing assets and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition (for area managers in Up-country).

    • Visit each branch, ensuring that each branch is visited at least once a month.
    • For the main branches of the area, visits should occur at least twice a week.
    • Check and maintain operational standards according to company policies by using the Store Standard Checklist, summarizing issues to be addressed in collaboration with the branches, and coordinating with relevant departments to resolve those issues.
    • During the next branch visit, always follow up on the progress from the previous Store Standard Checklist.

    • Support, promote, and develop shop personnel in collaboration with relevant departments.

    • Provide guidance and training to shop managers and staff on skills related to work, management, and customer service excellence, including regular follow-ups.

    • Coordinate with relevant departments to organize training sessions provided by the company, and collaboratively plan staffing for the branches with shop managers to ensure continuous business operations and customer service excellence.
    • Request support from the Sales Operations Support Manager if there is a need for special training on any topics for the staff under supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Age between years old.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven 5-8 years of experience in sales operations management within the retail industry, preferably in beauty products.
  • Strong in leadership skills and personnel & general management.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.
  • Experience in setting and achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a track record of achieving sales targets and objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
