Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Officer to join our team. The Legal Officer will be responsible for providing legal support and ensuring the company's compliance with laws and regulations. This role involves drafting and reviewing contracts, managing legal documentation, and liaising with external legal counsel when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Provide legal advice and support to internal departments on various business matters.
  • Ensure the company's operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and assess their impact on the company.
  • Coordinate with external legal advisors on litigation and other legal matters.
  • Maintain and organize legal files and documentation.
  • Assist in corporate secretarial tasks, including board resolutions and meeting minutes.
  • Support risk management and internal audit processes from a legal perspective.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B); a Master's degree (LL.M) is a plus.
  • Lawyer's license or legal professional certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in a legal role, preferably in a corporate or commercial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
  • Good command of English (spoken and written).
